Areas of improvement THERE IS NO AFTER SALES SERVICE. MY NEW TERRANO IS WITH COMPANY FOR LAST 12 DAYS and company is not able to set it RIGHT. There is no communication from company side. I am running pillar to post to get it back. A complete harrassment after spending 11 LAcs. No sight of vehicle getting back. No escalation of officers are provided. breaking head with customer care people. I had sent mails to senior officers but no one is taking resposibility and responding. It seems that I am cheated in broad daylight, company robbed Rs 11 Lacs and not returning my vehicle.

Only Service issue i heard in feedback but in Delhi i dont face any issue of now.

Bought a new Terrano 85 PS Top end model in the month of September 2014. I always liked the looks of the Terrano when compared to the Duster and you can easily make out the difference in the quality of plastic used betwen a Terrano and a Duster.
Was a bit skeptical on moving from a small hatchback to an SUV and from petrol to Diesel but one test drive of the Terrano was all it took the decide and i was more than happy with the car.
I was really happy with the overall buying experience with Surya Nissan dealer, bangalore eventhough i had read a lots of negative reviews about them. I'm sure they have worked on their negative reviews.
Immediately after the car delivery i went on a 3 day vacation to chikmagalur with my family and really enjoyed driving this car. Be it the wonderful highway between Bangalore and Hassan or the literally non-existent roads to the homestay where we stayed , the Terrano never complained. The overall driving experience so far has been fabulous and if you ask me was it worth the extra 30-40k spent compared to Duster ?? I bet it was!!
Exterior:
Stylish exterior. Need to be a little careful while driving in a crowded street and keep in mind the extra bulge of the wheel arcs/hubs or whatever its called.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)
Features: Needs lot of improvement. Would atleast expect a climate control and steering mounted controls when spending 13+ lakhs.
Space: I'm 6 feet tall and even after pushing the drivers seat back my mom was able to comfotably sit in the back seat with enough space between her legs and the front seat.
Comfort: Needless to say it's very comfortable and the outdoor noise is almost nil even when you are driving at over 110KMPH.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox
Engine Performance & Gearbox: I felt the 2nd gear is a little sluggish till it hits certain RPM especially since i upgradedf from a petrol car i felt this a bit annoying. But once a certain RPM crosses it's a "Smooth Operator"
Fuel Economy: I covered around 800Kms and the onboard computer shows the mileage to be around 16.5 KMPL. I'm sure it would vary after the first service.
Ride Quality & Handling
Ride Quality: Outstanding. No bad roads are bad enough for the Terrano especially with the 16" alloys
Handling: No problems with the handling at all. Be it bumper to bumper traffic or the highway maneouvers
Final Words
I would request people buying a duster to just have a test drive of Terrano before making a decision. You are sure to get into a dilemma :)

Exterior Exterior made me attracted compared to Duster which had some thing incomplete in style. Looks premium than Duster, especially I like the wheel cover front grill(taken from Nissan Patrol) rear door etc. From all angles the vehicle looks really nice. From side view it is similar to Duster.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) I felt front AC vent has improved design, plastic quality little but not that much rest is the same like Duster.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine sound some what reduced compared to Duster. Fuel economy is good from my initial Ride, Gear box there is an improvement in 2 and 3 rd gear compared to Duster.
Ride Quality & Handling Awesome ride quality and handling, but during overtake I need to shift to 4th Gear which I felt some thing difficult but better than Duster.
Final Words If your budget is 11 ~ 14 better go for this car since this is improved version of Duster. If the budget is tight better go for Duster.
Areas of improvement Price has to be less.

Exterior Terrano looks very attractive when compared to Duster. It might be the fact that Nissan has tried to show that terrano is superior to Duster with increased price. As far looks are concerned, the the increased price is worth.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) But inner looks are very common. The comfort is important when you spend 13.50 lacs. The NO mark you will find more in a coloumn of features they offer. So the question is why they fix such a high price which is beyond the limit of middle class man. the space is good, which you can also find in any car below 8 lacs. Just we call terrano SUV is a difference.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox This SUV is fuel economic, when you take the claim of Nissan into consideration. But users experience is somewhat disappointing. You can notice the vehicle makes noise simply standing out. Even better engine technology than Dci could have been provided.
Ride Quality & Handling Excellent when you sit on driving sean more pleasure can be found.
Final Words Very good SUV than Duster, ecosport but either price could habe been reduced or more features been provided.

Exterior Exterior is good and stylish.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Very spacous and comfortabl seats. But lack of features is the worst thing with this vehicle. It is very mean that a compact SUV costing this much is not provided with a rear view camera, controls on steerig wheel, GPS, a good music system or even good lighting on the dash board. The dash board does not have a suitable place even for my Mobile while charging. The lack of GPS and steering controls is too inconvenient in long drives. Even the floor matt is too mean.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Fuel economy is fantastic. I get 19 to 20 Km per litre at 90 Kms/ hour with AC on. I am happy for that. Engine performance is good. Steering is smooth. But the accessories lke Brakes are a Dampner. The rear brake liners ncluding the brake pistons came out completetly in just two years at the first rains eventhough my daily running is not more than 5 Km. And the service centre charged me Rs 15000/= even though I had an extended Warranty. Mind you it was not a normal wear and tear.

Final Words Even thouh the Vehicle is OK, the attitude durng purchase as well as service was very mean and cold. Service centre chaps ay that they dont get anything from the company for niceties. I didnt get even a tea at the service centre. What I got as a gift during purchase was two pillows. Ha Ha Ha.

Exterior: Its an awesome SUV with Great looks, Nobody till date has come up with such a stunning looks vechicle, Every car wil give way in the road to this vehcile due to its beast front looks
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort): This is one of the poor thing about this car, no any good rich features cheap plastics cost cutting things and lot of unprofessional design inside.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox: I had read the review f lot of people in this, i would request tem not to compare the bullshit Suzuki gearbox and engine with this exceptionally good tuned and good gearbox and clutch.
I had driven POLO, Swift and Figo, where i could never find a strong gearbox and extra good clutch and engine perofrmance is simply awesome in that 85PS there is no worries to go beyond 110kmph. And gearbox, pls dont except an big gearbox of a an suv as like swifts or wagon r s gearbox, for a typical offroader its gearbox also should be tough. Engine noise is very little.even after 2 years 70k kilometer of ride, my terranos engine stil sounds like a pretty new one.
Ride Quality & Handling: steering is exceptionally good in return back and smooth riving, turning radius is very small, which helps in city driving very easy.

If you are a milky baby and somuch worried about interior features and quality dont go for this vehicle. If u wnat something looks good in the road and go for this

I haddriven 70000 kilometer,Not changed the tyre since then. still 10000 kilometer can be driven with that tyre.
Alsoc regarding clutch: i find it extremely difficult to handle city traffic using certain vehicles but terranos clucth handle the traffic smooth, even if u start releasing it engine start moves. One of he ebst feature is its gearbox. its tough and good one!!!

I brought the top end model of Nissan Terrano when it was launched in the yr. 2013. No doubt I was extremely stunned by its fabulous Exteriors but I was let down by the "poor quality of plastics" interiors used by a Japanese company like Nissan. The seating arrangement is also not very comfortable. The seats are normal seats like any other standard Jeep but not as comfortable as they are in Skoda or Swift cars. The breaking is poor & the vehicle skids to either left or right when breaks are applied at high speet. The doors are very lite weight. The pick up is very poor in hilly terrains. I was so disappointed by its overall performance that I sold it after only 6 months thus incurring heavy monetary loss, as it has got a very bad resale price in the market.
My advice to all the people out there is "DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT"
