Nissan Datsun go under breakdown on 2nd day & 300km run from purchase dtae.

Very very bad experience with datsun go. I purchased it on 21.10.14 & after 300 km run it start malfunctioning. All electical items light, indicator, centre locking, tail lamp, power window stop working &  finnally I was not able to start the car on 23.10.14. then I threwout  this bullsit car to its service centre.

It seems like an chinees toy car & no servie support is there any where in india.nissan is knwon as an quility car manufacturer but after using this car nobody can believe nissan. I will never recomand this car. Please please dont waste your money & time with datsun go. I also informed nissan by mail but no. Response even on 2nd day.

@ Datsun team kindlay do not make people foolish & remove this product from market.

I bought Datsun go 2 months before. So far i haven't experienced any bad issues.
As every one says the security lamp for door locking doesnt works for any other doors other than drivers door. They have said the same in the brochure too.
I also saw many giving a review that it gives a bad mileage. But this is not true in my case. There are times i got 22 mileage on highways. I would the say the average mileage is around 18-19 in highways. The one that shows in the display is wrong. For me the display just shows a mileage of 13

Interior quality is cheap. No way to close the dashboards.

And dont expect any good service from Nissan. I have experienced the worst.

Overall i would give a rating of around 4.5/5 because all the cons that i had in my car are negligible when compared to its pros.

Simple one word, even this car is not comparing with 10 years old lower version cars from other companies like Maruthi & Hyundai. This is the worst car and never come in the feature. 1. Horrible to drive in traffic 2. No pickup (even Tata Nano is better then this) 3. Poor quality of car body (full noise, we need to cover with audio sound, if you can put bit high volume doors are vibrate) 4. Good looking when compared within this segment of cars. The rear design is very good, Lovely.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

Space is excellent with amazing boot space. Dashboard is good. Seating is good, comfortable.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

Very very good peppy engine. You can easily touch 110 KM/H. And car looks stable even in high speeds.

I drove it 5000 kms. Fuel Economy in City its approx 13-14 km/l & on Highways above 18.7 km/l.

Gearbox is good. I like position of the gearbox.

Ride Quality & Handling

Ride quality is good. Handling is very easy in city as well as on highways. 

I drove my car on very bad roads as well as on NH.

 

But when you drive contineously more than 200 kms then it gives noise & feels needs to stop the car but this can be in control when you change the gear 5th to 4th & switch off the AC.

Final Words

A good buy at the current price at entry level cars for new buyers. Over all a good package. 

Don`t expect more from this segment. 

Areas of improvement  

1. Increase in tire size.
2. Provide hand lever for ORVM adjustment.
3. Provide cover for Glove Box.
4. Power Window control on Driver side for passenger side. 
5. Security warning sound and light for all doors when open rather just for driver door. 
6. Better bucker seat for long drive comfort.
7. Entertainment Unit.
8. Ground Clearence.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

Excellent pickup. I have driven it around 6000 km and I am getting 19.5 km/l mileage on highways and 17 km/l in city. Gears are also smooth.  Good service provided from nissan service center and nissan showroom (dealer).  

Ride Quality & Handling

Very comfortable rider.  Stearing is very lite and manages to ride over pot holes without any noticable jerk.  Excellet car for long drives. I have driven EON and alto as well and  space in these cars is very less. Ride quality and comfort of Go + is far superior than these cars.

Final Words

Best value for money as compared of other cars in this price range. Very satisfied customer.

Areas of improvement 

1) Need to add more safety features - ABS, EBD, co-driver airbags.

2) Need adjustable head rests on front and rear seats.

Exterior Bumper and body - no strength at all. Bumper securing is very delicate and poor quality.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interior is good- seating is not comfortable for long drives.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Fuel efficiency not as claimed. Engine is noisy and not fuel efficient as claimed.

Ride Quality & Handling Handlng is good.

Final Words Not at all worth buying. Customer support is also poor. Extended warranty has many issues - not worth it.

Areas of improvement Tyre Prada- poor quality, had to change the tyre within very first year of purchase, no response from cmpany regarding the same.

Horn- Needs replacement every 5-6 months- poor quality and poor service or incompetent technicians to find out the fault.

Extended warraty- taken for a toss - when claimed , made several complaints - nothing done till date. Car battery didnt last for even 3 yrs.

Rear wheel bearing- started giving noise only after 14000 kms- not covered under warranty program.

 It lacks some features but think of tis pricing. For this pricing Datsun go is worth buying and be adjust with available features. Comfort also good compared to competitor like Eon,Alto & Spark.

 Good engine respons & goog pickup. I have checked in all conditions & performance is good.

Compared to Eon & alto, engine is bot noisy..but it rockssss..........

i had covered only 1000km and mileage indicator is showing mileage of 17.3kmpl in city road.

Some people may find difficulty in shifing gears because of its position.

 Excellent. But suspension little bit noisy on bumps

Final Words

 Datsun go is a car for 1st time buyer and for those who loves looks & performance. Also you can add up many accesories which is not much costly.

Areas of improvement  

 Door opening & closing sound is pathetic. Company need to focus on it.

Door opening warning lamp only for driver door.

Not possible to accomodate 3rd person in FT row. Co-passenger can sit relax.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox I must thank Nissan and Datsun engineers for delivering such an excellent value for money car. What a super fuel efficient engine comes with Datsun GO (T)...!! Awesome, and I am loving it. It delivered 19+ kmpl mileage for the first 1100 kms. Gear shift patter is very smooth; initially it was very annoying but now I am changing gears comfortably.

Ride Quality & Handling Each part used in Datsun Go (T) has very high quality and durable; Riding @ 60-70 KMPH is very smooth. My car has attained sweet-speed @ 60 kmph. Even with 80 KMPH I drove and control GO very efficiently.

Final Words What a caaaar...!! Thank you Datsun for making GO such a nice looking, cozy, highly fuel efficient, value for money, very high degree of reliable and durable, secure, and cool car for INDIA. Your future is bright here in India. Please try to concentrate and conceptualize and improve service and dealership network. We will surely shy away from Maruti in the near future. And to add the beauty in design, driving comfort. Kudos to Datsun engineers...!!! Miles to go.!!!! Thank you.

Areas of improvement Bit noisy engine, gets less power when AC is on. However these are not areas of improvement. Indian roads are made for driving less than 60-80 KMPH. You cannot drive 80+ kmph in Indian roads.

Excellent Fuel Economy (19+, 1100 kms drove), Great and refined look, Spacious.Bit noisy engine, less power when AC is on.

 The Engine pickup is good, but definately not happy with 12KM mileage and that also in a place like Greater Noida (which is like driving in a highway). The Gearbox is also not as smooth as compared to cars like Hyundai i10 and Maruti Celeron

 The pickup is good which was my major reason for buying a 1200cc car, but the mileage has really disappointed me and even the after sales experience. I had purchased this car from dealer in Noida Sector 2 (Neo Nissan)

Final Words

 The Gearbox is not smooth, Mileage is poor, looks like my decision to be excited about the pickup of the car compared to Eon, Kwid or Celeron turned out to be wrong.

Areas of improvement  

 Mileage needs to be relooked majorly and expect the sales staff to be more honest to their words and commitments.
