Exterior SUPERB EXTERIOR STYLING. VERY MUCH LIKE THE LEXUS. I AM DRIVING THE 2013 NEW CAMRY. Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) VERY SPACIOUS. LOW NOISE. LUXURIOUS LEATHER. VERY GOOD COMFORT AT THE REAR. NO COMPLAINTS. Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox EXCELLENT MILEAGE OF 13KMS PLUS ON HIGHWAY N 10KMS IN CITY. SUPER ACCELARATION, SUFFICIENT FOR INDIAN CONDIRIONS. ROCK SOLID SUSPENSION N SAFETY FEATURES. RY SMOOTH 6 GEARBOX. Ride Quality & Handling EXCELLENT RIDE QUALITY, HAVE DRIVEN THE NEW CAMRY, 2013 MODEL N CAN SAY WITH FULL CONSIDERATION THAT IT IS WORTH THE EXTRA PAYMENT DUE TO ITS FAB SUSUPENSION, EASY RIDE, AND ROAD STABILITY. Final Words THE NEW CAMRY 2013 MODEL IS A CBU BROUGHT IN FROM JAPAN. HENCE THE OVER PRICE. BUT WITH THE ROCK SOLID TOYOTA SYMBOL OF MINIMUM MAINTENANCE ITS WORTH THE PRICE. 2022 Toyota Camry Hybrid — First Drive Review

The Toyota Camry Hybrid is a premium executive sedan priced at Rs 41.7 lakh (ex-showroom). As a result, it goes up against the Skoda Superb, and even ventures into the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe and Mercedes A-Class territory. Yes, this Toyota doesn’t have the same snob value, but remains one of the unique long three-box sedans with its own USPs, like hybrid power, focus on rear-seat comfort, etc. — all of which we will get to in a bit. Camry is Toyota’s only sedan in India and now gets cosmetic updates and new features in its eighth-gen avatar.

For years we have been talking about hybrids as the cars of future – and ‘future’ not because they don’t work or we don’t have infrastructure to support them, but simply because they are expensive and the tradeoff from better efficiency does not fit our value-for-money criteria – even if they provide an extra opportunity of boasting for the right reasons! In their defense these were not the best hybrid cars, but things might soon change with the new Camry Hybrid; it is big, efficient, comfortable and owing to CKD operations quite affordable with a price tag of less than Rs 30 lakh.
