It is good car the spare parts is cheap and its extrior is also good and even interior is also good and the fuel economy is also good the comfort is also nice it nice car to buy and use for many years

 

Exterior Not upto a new generation model cars. Its just ok.

 

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Really really SPACIOUS which can accomodate two 6 ft passengers in front and rear seats.. leather seats are good and really comfort. Head room is better than the CRUZE. There wont be any noise inside the cabin even u cant hear the company fitted horn sound

 

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Awsome Engine power.. Amazing pick up

 

Ride Quality & Handling Very smooth and comfortable for long drives. Handling is also good.

 

Final Words Great buy, specially for the college guys. And one looking for the SPACE and COMFORT. IT'S MINI DIESEL ROCKET.

 

Areas of improvement Could have some more new features which are available with compatitors in the market. Improve the AC, as more room is available add rear AC vent.  Should have USB port. Could also improve the exterior design, have parking sensor. Add steering controls, bluetooth facilities.

 

Power, Space, HandlingAge old lock for the doors, No USB port, No steering mount controls, Poor AC effect

One of the Best engines a company could ever make. Excellent pickup no doubt in that. Average 12 to 14 in cities and 14 to 18 on highways. Overall ride quality and made is fantastic. Should have got a sunroof in diesel model aswell. Honestly this is one of the best car that I have ever driven. I almost finished 2.50lakh km in this car. No major issues until now.

After reading Ashwin's views on this car I nearly finalised buying one : however after discussions regarding the same I have my concerns about the resale of a chevrolet. I have been cautioned that though the car is quite good in all respects the biggest problem is the resale value of any chevrolet car : I called a few car dealers and friends: they confirmed that my fears about the pathetic resale value of chevrolet cars are true and that this is one of the biggest drawbacks which even this model cannot excape. Though Magnum isnt old enough to be on the roads for resale but the past records of all chevrolet models in India confirm these fears. Please let me have your views as even if the car is great I would like to change the within 18-24 months.price in this segementpathetic resale

 

Exterior This is the only car that exudes class in the current price band in its league, and very honestly, besides the lenght aspect, beats a lot of other cars that are may be more expensive. The car is designed to take a beating, and yet continue going, i met with an accident at almost 100kms/hr, the car axle broke and was on the floor, but i came out scratchless. i know i can trust the vehicle.

 

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Wooden finish panels, that ACTUALLY resemble wood, rather than the pseudo ones in other cars and even the interior resemble the OLD merc feel, which is very attractive and soothing. seating i brilliant, the drive is beautiful, ergonomics are simply amazing.

 

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Its a car to die for...she holds the road, and even at 150, if u push the accelerator, chances are, you will be pushed back into ur seat, thats what a true performer should be like...fuel economy is bad, but then again, with the class/performance/stability and weight, u cant expect much out of it. if the average is of major concern to you, think again, this car is much more than that.

 

Ride Quality & Handling The steerings a little heavy, but thats good because at high speeds the car cruises effortlessly. It sticks to the ground and handles and brakes really well too.low seating, yet a good ground clearance, and very good suspension, make for superior experience in the car.

 

Final Words I have an optra, and am now planning on buying a cruze/optra magnum diesel, even though iam not sure of the resale value, only because, if theres a car in the market, that isnt the most expensive, yet gives u d performance of a beast and class of a luxury car with all the comforts, theres no reason u should go for a japanese car.

 

Areas of improvement After sales, so that the resale of the car goes up and it receives it dues.

Exterior Just nice & elegance look from out side , length is maximum in its class , because of ong wheel base more sterdy on road.Complementing the new Optra Magnum's powerful pick-up is its sleek aerodynamic design. The Almond shaped front lamps shine bright, even when they're not turned on. And the trendy new alloy wheels set the road in motion and makes it hard for the rest to keep up. The special chrome plated door handles and body moulding with chrome inserts are further complemented by a specially designed honey comb grille sporting the famous Chevrolet bowtie that announces your arrival, to the rest of the world.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interier are very good exept audio system , lether upolstry and wooden stream just awosom.ompartments and boxes. The front console box has a separate pocket. Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox 2000cc engine, 120 bhp which deliver max power and pick up in its class. just push accelarator and enjoy zooooooom effect, breaking is also nice, just littel bit vibration at ideal possition. gear shifting is also smooth.

Exterior Well the exterior is not too jazzy like other counterparts (Laura, VW, ). could have been better. but no regrets sirr.

 

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Features good, space is like business class, too good to describe. Comfort is very good. all in all Very good.

 

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Excellent performance. well for such a big car the fuel economy is great, considering the power it gives you in all the gears. smooth and effortless gear shifting.

 

Ride Quality & Handling Superb Ride Quality. Very good Seats, can drive for hundreds of Km together without stress. very good handling, a bit on a heavier side, but i love that feel cos it makes me feel like am driving a monster. Airconditioning very good. Back seat leg space business class.

 

Final Words At this price no comparison. have driven laura (My Cousins), no Comparison. its just simply superb. it beats laura hands down or should i say hands and legs down:). 

 

Areas of improvement Exteriors can be a tad better. The Rims could have been 16" to make it look more Monsterous, but no regrets.

 

Pick UP, Power in 2nd 3rd and 4th Gear (awesm),Low cost of Ownershp, most comfortable on long DrivesHead Lamps Weak, headlamp assembly not of good quality.

I have been driving almost many cars , but however the chevorlet optra magnum 1.6 manual is the most reliable car among all . Actually I own this car for previous 2 owners and drove more than 1 years ago I would share the good experience as it provides not only the comfort n luxurious driving , the most happy things is it provides high torque and high mileage and save more on petrol fuel consumption
