Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox This is the only redeeming factor for the Cruze, the performance is really solid. The car never let me down on the highway. Apart from the turbo lag there's nothing much to complain about in this regard. Everything from the steering to the slick gearbox everything is pretty good. We had an issue with the clutch which was too stiff to drive, to the point that your leg would be pretty sore if you ever got stuck in city traffic. After getting it replaced, it went away and is now like any other car.

Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality and handling though nothing like those coming out of the volkswagen stables, is still pretty decent. The suspension cushion any mild bumps. The back seat is not as comfortable as the corolla but is still decent enough for an avg sized person.

Final Words Despite loving the car so much while driving it, at the end of the day it has been quite a pain in the ass. We had had to take the car over to the service center for too many unscheduled visits. At the beginning it was the nagging problem of the tight clutch, then there was air con problem. After about 60k kms, something in the fuel injector gave away and the car lost power altogether. Then we had an issue with some hose in the turbo charger. At 80k we replaced the starter motor. At 86k the interiors have quite worn down. The rubber has started coming off the steering wheel for example. These are just a summary of the problems I faced, if I had more time I could come up with maybe ten more of such issues. The service quality has also been quite a let down even after having close ties with the manager of the local service center.

Exterior Very good looks and the car looks more masculine. It has good road presence and every one likes the looks.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Very nice interiors and I like the blue lit interiors and during night the interior looks awesome. Seats are more comfortable and there is enough space in front but the seats at back lacks leg room and head room. Boot space is very good and we can accommodate 3 large suitacases easily. Steering is precise and the wheel is of right size. Steering is tilt and telescopic and I could find a better driving position. Long drives are more comfortable. Audio quality is good but it could have been improved using another 2 speakers.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is highly powerful and it is a diesel rocket. Noise level is high but it gets well filtered into the cabin. Torque is high and I feel driving in the city is more effortless. Gear shifts are nice. Fuel economy is reasonable and I used to get around 13-14 km in highways with AC on. I enjoy driving this car and even at 120 kmph it wants to go more and at 100 kmph the engine is most effortless.

Ride Quality & Handling This car has best in class ride and handling. I can coner the car with great confidence. Ride is more supple at high speeds and slightly stiff at low speeds.

Final Words Go for it as I am a proud owner of this car! I heard the experience of owners with dealers aren't good but I had driven around 5000 km and I don't fine any problem with my car. My experience with the dealer is good till now and I had done 2 services and the quality of service is good.

Areas of improvement Leg room in back could be improved, Audio quality can be improved.

Exterior Exterior of the car is excellent, sturdy, tough look, styling is great!

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Features are plenty, automatic rain sensors, park assist, cruise control, sun-roof, auto climate control, etc etc..i like them!

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is breathtaking! But the engine really dies down at low rpm....sad...needs improvement.

Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is very good. handling is perfect. shockers are good.

Final Words Excellent buy. Absolutely worth every penny of yours. Value for money, its not at all expensive seeing its monster engine and packed features. competition is Laura and Civic, but whichever category you take, engine, looks, features. Cruze is ahead. Buy it, u wont regret!

Areas of improvement Need to improve the pickup at low rpm..means when you are in traffic or the speed is slow, then you'll have problem picking up the car..otherwise after say 1500 rpm, the car picks up the speed like a monster!

First of all, I think there is one thing that i should clarify about GM/Chevrolet India. Chevrolet is fairly a new brand compared to the rest of the automobile pack. They are still on a learning foot and at this stage there will be rights and wrongs. Even for Maruti, the initial stage was the same, just think about the new Zen. Today Chevrolet has almost the right product line-up and are doing fairly well. They are giving 3year no cost of maintainence free with Spark at almost the price of an Alto. What else can you ask for? Coming to Cruze. I have had the privilege of driving one of the LTZ model test drive car and i was swept off my feet. The car is a great head turner. It looks just stunning. The engine is awesome. Though there is a lag till at about 1.7-1.8rpm, but after that its a rocket and it does not loose its grip while lift off or on the way to 200kmph.The engine is very responsive in all the gears. Breaking, with all four disc breaks, ABS is nice. With all this power it is not bad on Fuel Economy. The car has been certified by ARAI to give a mileage of 18.27KMPL. The interior, i think is one of the best in its class. The quality of the materials used is classy. The Start/Stop Button is an amazing feature, known only to exist in Sports cars worth few Crores. Sunroof works perfectly. The rain sensing wipers are also class apart. The sound system does a fairly nice job. The driver seat is very comfy and has good thigh support. The only thing thats lacking is power seat function. Automatic defoggers both rear and front. The leg room on the back seat is a bit on the lower side, but i would not complain about it much, as the seats are very comfortable. Auto Air conditioning / Climate control works nicely. and the MID Screen menu and functions are well laid out and fairly easy to understand and navigate through. In final words Chevrolet Cruze could just be what Chevrolet India has been waiting for. It a very neatly packaged Car and Value for money to the dime. I do not think that at this price point i can ask for anything else. A job well done Chevrolet.

About the car: Its gud as a car except for this drag in the initial gear shifting in the automatic version..u will feel the gear shift. The engine performance is gud same as the features but xenon head lamps would have made this car much more saleable

After sale service: but very worse regarding the after sale service. they charge a lot for unnecessary things and they cant give u any satisfaction. Both Kun(lb nagar, hyderabad) and Orange (rajahmundry) dealers are bad at service. They wil never have the spares anytime and u have to keep the car at theservice shop for days and till then they r not sure that u will get ur car completely done.. guys plz ignore chevy in india..u wil be  very disappointed..Even they dont have a abs display sensor with them and every time i gave my car,, it costs me more than 30k..even my audi a6 doesnt cost me tht much.

Exterior It is just amazing it has got bold and elegant looks got the new Metallic White color.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) In interior you have got everything that comes in top model cars till the range of 25 lakhs.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Fuel Economy is the best according to diesel, gearbox is perfect and engine as it is chevorlet it has extremely powerful engine.

Ride Quality & Handling Handling is just like BMW and Ride Quality is like driving a beast felt amazing driving it Specially using the Cruze Control!

Final Words This car is a must buy if you are thinking of LAURA (any model) just drop the idea and without thinking take this or buy this masterpiece as in the new faceoff the speed-o-meter is drastically changed into a amazing look, loved the black interiors and new headlights are also pretty amazing.

Areas of improvement No areas need improvment it is the best you can get in this range!

Exterior STYLING IS good, brand matters, so I dont think chevrolet had its good image in luxury segment. :( :(

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interior quqlity is not worthy, You will definately get bored  by the type of interiors they are after your car clicked few killometers, high maintenance interiors, not comfortable, less space is even less.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Perfortmance is high in this budget :) :). But again i should mention that AFTER SALE SERVICE IS VERY BAD, their would be no feeling that you are driving an luxury sedan :( Its an High Maintenance car.

Areas of improvement SERVICE, AFTER SALE SERVICE IS ALL CUSTOMER DEMAND < DONT FAKE THE CUSTOMERS, CHEVROLET IS NOT FOR LUXURY SEGMENT, ITS CARS ARE HIGH M<AINTENANCE.

Exterior Its amicable styling makes the car a head turner whereever it goes. If you are in a car ahead of Cruze you will feel like a beast is following you with all that muscular power. 10 out of 10 for looks. I keep falling in love with the car everytime I see it.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Great features like start/stop, cruze control, sun/moon roof.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The engine is a gem of a performer. Initially it takes a bit time to pick up but cross 1800 rpm and you leave everyone behind gasping for breath and they soon disappear behind you. We have touch 190/200 with this car and still you feel it has the capacity to push harder.

Ride Quality & Handling It is a fantastic car to drive, very easy to manoevar in city traffic and take it on the highway and it just puts a smile on your face.

Exterior The car looks great and which is the prime reason that it is a runaway hit. Lamps are not powerful and don't match the lighting of its contemporaries.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Little uncomfortable initially for the driver. Got used to it after adding some cushioning the seat a little.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is great. Fuel economy reasonably good for its class.

Ride Quality & Handling Ride is smooth and too tempting on an empty highway. Steady even at 120 Kmph speed.

Final Words A great buy and true value for money. I contemplated Corolla Altis, Honda Civic and Skoda Laura (all petrol variants) before buying Cruze. Cruze is way ahead of others if we consider the advantages notwithstanding the fact that it is a diesel variant. The pick up is sluggish nevertheles which GM has taken care in the recent 2012 version be enhancing the power.

Areas of improvement Approach of dealer is awful. I was earlier owning Chevrolet Aveo for five years. I was considering options other than GM before purchasing Cruze olnly because of the callous attitude of the GM dealer at Ahmedabad (Gallops motors). They need to learn to value the time of customers when they come for servicing. Even small jobs take hours together (if you are not fortulate even it could take days together) to fix small issues.
