Exterior All know the looks are sexy so I am not dwelling into the gory details here. Also, looks are subjective, so judge for yourself guys.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) I am quite impressed by the interiors here. The dashboard inspired by the dual cockpit is really a treat with stuff eaily accessible as well as giving me a feeling that I am not in a hatchback but a sedan. And the feeling is really good since I feel I am driving a big car. From inside, this car gives a very nice feeling.

One problems I face is that the automatic window slider buttons are a bit backward so I have to slide my hand back to roll the windows but I have got used to it and it is not a show-stopper at all. The features inside are nice. I got the package where they install some interiro designer material over the dashboard and I just love the look it gies to the interiors. Recently my friend got into the car and was thrilled to see the interiors. He has never been inside a Beat (he owns a WagonR) and said that Maruti sucks in interior design and this is awesome. The digital tachometer and fuel meter helps me a lot in calculating the FE also since it start blinking when fuel is less and you can easy mark the KM at that time till it blinks the next time for fuel indication. It is just awesome.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox FE is just great! I never thought a car of this size, weight and performance can deliver 14+ consistently in the city. It reaches 15+ most of the times but have never given me a FE of less than 14 where sometime for 10-15 minutes of my drive, I never reach 4th gear. First I thought I am calculating it wrongly but no, I get 14+ consistently.

Gears are very smooth and I never had any problems in that. Maruti cars have got better and smoother gear shifts but BEAT matches them closely, unlike the hard gears of Hyndai cars.

Ride Quality & Handling Handling is nice, even at 120KMP, I found no problem at all in steering response. The engine sound is too low and sometimes I and a couple of valet parking driver gave the self even when the car was still on - it is simply vibrationless still (it is 1.3 years and 10000 Km old now).

Final Words It is worth to sepnd money on this. I bought this when market was waiting for reviews and many people told me to take the road most often taken - to go for Maruti - but I found this car so wonderful, that I took the road less taken and am pretty happy with my decision. Hope this helps you guys also in making your decision. I found the service guys too groomed and good (in Hyd) and they take care of the vehicle very well.

Areas of improvement Boot space is less for long trips. Road clearance can be improved but since it has a shocker proof bumper, it is less of a concern even if it touches down a bit.

Classy interiors, dashing looks, FERoad clearance

 

Exterior Stylish exterior, Majestic look, Cocktail green colour attracts all, central locking system is smooth and soundless.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Sufficient space, provisions for bottle, charging are satisfactory. Dark interior due to black colour, foot rest near clutch pedal can be provided for riding comfort. Front console gives lots of information and due warning.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Pick up is sufficient,  20kmpl, smooth gear box, Due to presence of Turbo charger and direc injection exhaust pollution will be controlled as per Bharat Stage IV norms.

Ride Quality & Handling Sensitive electric power steering, sensitive booster braking, quick chillness by air-conditioner - all good.

Final Words Value for money, Great style, Neighbour's envy owner's pride, cheapest car among all other diesel cars.

Areas of improvement Interior can be dual colour or can be like spark (Beige colour interior), Ground clearance can be increased little more , Taking reverse is little bit difficult as rear portion is mostly covered.

Exterior ITs very impressive as comparison to the other cars in its range, alto and 800 very small and wagaon R not very impressive with the exterior and interior.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) I like the new style for speedo meter and the complete driving log. i feel its far far better than other cars in its range. such as EON, Santro, Maruti, wagon R.

Final Words I m already having two cars of Hyundai, and i was thinking for EON or I10 but it was costing aoround Rs. 3,74,000 and santro Rs. 3,71,000 and I10 around 4,00,000/-. then if you think after adding Rs. 20-25000/- you are getting 1200cc car with the great look, fantastic Interior/exterior, i mean this is the best one can thinking for new car in 4 lakh range. also they are financing with the most economical finance Rate i.e 11.25% through SBI. i have just book the BEAT LS PETROL: and dealer is also giving in kind the central locking, gear lock, music system (Speaker & mouth) + body cover + toys + mats. its the best time a one can avail the benefits right now. moreover they are providing the 3 year warranty.  

Areas of improvement Fuel conomical should be extended.

Good Interior + Exterior + Good PowerFuel Economy would be extended

not bad its a hatchback only we are not goin to race at 200 kmper hour.A descent car has a descent handling

 

Final Words

it has the complete features that a hatchback has to provide to customers .Most of the people say it lags space it is just an hatchback if you want space go and buy a sedan .moreover it is cheap when compared to other hatchback.some hatchback price up to 9 lakhs which is not even worth buying .It is a perfect car for a perfect small family.Many people say if a six footer drive this car it's hard to sit on back but  i assure you that  it's completely wrong iam a six footer and i feel entirely comfortable on back  when a six footer is on the driver seat

could have woked more on boot space but its enough for a small family

Exterior: Beat is excellent car with sporty look, very good workman ship, good uality of paint, and dashing colurs.

 

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort): Suitable for small family, good city car,

 

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox: Very good pick up, very less noisy and one can not differrentiate between petrol and deisel engine. having latest technology , bosch comman rail fuel injection system in diesel engine, and GM has put great efforts in designing.

In samll car segement 936 cc , 3 cylinder engines, performance is excellent.

 

Ride Quality & Handling: Being compact car, can easily ride in heavy traffic, and excellent dynapmics.

 

Final Words: Straight way go for Beat Diesel, economic running, and very good option against Wagon-R, and other similar segement cars. Car is being manufactured in Talegoan Industrial area in Pune, and state of art manufctruing facility.

 

Areas of improvement  : Some more features need to be added in LS model, to make it more cost effective, but all in all excellent car.

 Beat is a very good looking car with eye catching exterior.. the car is very well suited for city use as its dimensions are correct..

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

 The interior design is also very good and looks very pleasing.. the blue colour lighting is also very soothing..
The feature list is also very impressive.. it has power steering, power windows, integrated music system, usb, aux and also some optional features like alloy wheels, abs, ebd.. Overall the car is fairly well loaded and the price band is very well suited..
Talking about the space, it has enough space to seet 4 adults and a kid.. the front seats are very comfortable and have enough knee and head room.. but the rear seats lack shoulder room thus making it fit for only 2 adults.. The boot space is also less as compared to the competition.. but if u already have another car and want a car which has excellent styling and main purpose is in city use then this car perfectly suits your requirement

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

 The engine used is a 1l turbo charged engine.. it has a displacement of only 938cc which looks small on paper but due to the turbo charger it is very peppy.. it is well suited for city use but it starts making some noise once you pass 100km/h mark.,. this is because of 3 cylinders used instead of 4.. The gearbox is very sleek and turbo lag is minimal..

Fuel economy is the best part of this car.. my car is 1 year old and i m getting a fuel economy of 21 in city(delhi) conditions

Ride Quality & Handling

 Ride quality is good and the handling is even better.. the car handles really well and you can easily drive your car through tough traffic..  THe only downside of the car in terms of ride quality and handling is that in high speeds the steering wheel remains light and doesnt give you the confidence which you need at high speed..

Final Words

 This is an amazing package from chevrolet.. style, engine, fuel economy etc

So my opinion is, if u want a car in terms of styling and handling and fuel economy then this is the best car.. But if you want a family car and you love long drives then this car may not be suited for you

Exterior The taste of  exteriors differ from person to person but beat has a good futuristic design, has some good colour options as well.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interiors are spacious enougf so that 5 people of approx height 5 Feet 10 inches can sit comfourtably in it, although the boot space is not too much but its enough of keep 2 medium size bags. the dashboard look good , plastic quality is also good, AC performance is satisfactory in Peak summer I used it on 46 Centi and cooling was fast.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox You can't expect too much from a 1 litre  diesel engine, although the car perform excellent in highways at 4th and 5th gear, but the power delivery and clutch response is slow in 2nd gear.

Although its still good to handle in city driving as well

Ride Quality & Handling Apart for the less power delivery in 2nd gear there is no issue in the car, engine noise is less as compared to other diesel cars, handling is smooth and car shockabsorvers are also good. 

Final Words I have brough this car on june 2012 and had logged 3500 Km till now, i even took it for a drive from Gurgoan to Bhopal which is around 740 KM by road the car gave a milage of 20 KM/Ltr in that trip which was quite good since it was on peak summer and i used the AC in all journey with 4 passangers including driver. The car is good value for money keeping in mind that its diesel. Varriant cost same as the petrol variant of some hachbacks. Although if you are power hungry and want a car which is very powerfull like Swift you should not go for it since it is a 1 ltr engine not a 1.3 ltr engine like other cars

Exterior I love the looks.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Front seats are good whereas back ones are for short idiots only.very low bootspace.

Pedals are the WORST part, damn hard clutch,height of pedals are high which pains a lot to drive in both legs. Steering is a very good experience in this car, you will love it.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Great engine,mileage is good,gears are rough.

Ride Quality & Handling Cannot tolerate in rough roads,braking is superb, roadgrip on turns not good.Highway ride is the best.

Final Words Happy only on highways and you will cry if drove on city roads. Small car with Big engine I can say. Buy this car on your own risk, it might ruin your happiness after few months of use. This car needs lot of improvement.

Areas of improvement Needs lot of improvement in shock absorbers,sound from tyres on highways like a jet plane.

Exterior Beat has such a catchy look. I have a Sandrift Grey Beat PS & everybody likes its looks. People look up to you when you are waiting at a traffic signal. Design is best-in-class. Body is made up of good quality fibre & is not as lightweight as in Hyundai Eon or Maruti Alto 800. Chevrolet has always believed in quality & I trust its belief.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Dashboard looks very decent & sporty at the same time. No cheap quality plastics, no badly designed AC knobs. Everything seems to be perfect.  The Tachometer Console is one of the best attributes & looks really great. Rear is not cramped like in Volkswagen Polo or Hyundai Eon. Enough of leg space. The car can easily accomodate 5 people. Boot space is a bit less but can easily acomodate 2 mid-sized travel bags (at the least).

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is very responsive & provides a power of 79 BHP which is the best in its Price Segment. Ford Figo, Hyundai i10 etc. don't stand anywhere (as far as petrol variants are concerned). The car yields around 15Kmpl in city & goes up to 18Kmpl on highways which is quite close to what the company claims (unlike Hyundai). Smooth gearshift with no sound or wreck (as in still persisting in Hyundai Eon even after a makeover).

Ride Quality & Handling The car feels great to drive & is very good in handling. Turning radius is very less (around 4.8 mtrs) THe car's heaight is so adjusted (brilliant work by Chevy) that it says stable even while taking sharp turns.

Final Words I own a Beat PS Petrol & got it upgraded with Central Locking & Front Power Windows from Chevrolet itself (Genuine GM Accessories). It feels great to own this car. Chevy is very good in customer satisfaction. This car has proved above the mark (not just upto it) in performance. Chevy usually doesn't make cars with catchy looks (like Hyundai) but all its cars are the best in performance in heir respective segments. However, the car I bought is one of the best in the looks as well. It is defeinitely better than Figo in terms of Ground Clearance & Suspensions as it has no lean plastic hanging out of the body. Don't even think before buying it.

Areas of improvement None. You can't expect anything more in such a competent price range. I bought it for 3.96 lacs (with free upgrade to Power Windows front & Central Locking Remote). Love this Car.
