Exterior

The car has awesome exteriors and one of a kind killer looks for the young crowd of India. Every other person on the road turns around to look at the car. Ensure you get the Volvo Styling Kit installed its about 2lacs additional however its worthit... :)

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

Interiors of the car are really nice and quite sturdy. The quality of material used is awesome and lives up to the brand Volvo. Few features could have been added viz Navigation, Pedistrian detection

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

Engine performance is amazing it is the same engine which Volvo uses in XC-60 just that this one is detuned considering the size of the car. Fuel economy so far is ok at 10KMpl at just about 100KM's that I have driven since yesterday.... :)

Ride Quality & Handling

Quite Sturdy and good. Turning radius is a bit wide

Final Words

I have been just driving this car since yesterday as I took the delivery. So far it has those show stopper looks on the Indian roads. The car comes in only 1 option the so called fully loaded as per the dealers however in true sense it is not the fully loaded model however, for Indian roads its got hell lot of safety features and technology that you would not find even in some really high end cars.

The ground clearance of the car is bit of a problem. Volvo should look at increasing the ground clearance which will give the car an elegant as well as macho looks.

Also potential buyers should very well know that this is a complete imported car (CBU) in the Indian market hence the road tax and registration will be a bit higher as compared to normal cars assembled or manufactured in India.

Areas of improvement

Increase ground clearance, Give options for Navigation, Give the choice of interior color selection to the customer.

Car stands to be very good combination of fuel and electric power

Exterior Fantastic and excilenty desined across the car.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Good interior. Lacks for rear leg room. Keeps volvo up to mark as known for tecknology.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Twin power electric and fuel helps on environment part keeps air clean and gives good fuel economy

Ride Quality & Handling Good and Smoth Ride. Sturdy bilt quality. Easy and good to drive.

Final Words It’s the age of fusion. Consumers’ demands have evolved and so have the options available to them. And one of the most popular trends today is products which offer the best of many worlds. Crossovers are a result of this trend. These are regular cars that have the much-desired SUV look and feel, but come with very few SUV penalties; exactly why Volvo is in the process of readying its V40 Cross Country for sale in India. It’s targeted at the young-at-heart owner-drivers who are looking for something different. Got some stats of the car.

Beautifully styled - simply terrific

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

Seat trim, rainfall console, clusters, start/stop (for economy), boot space - all make it great value for memory

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

Sports car pick up, glides driving uphill terrain. Fuel economy is around 10/12 (disappointing as stated to be 16kmpl). Gearbox is smooth - just like DSG

Exceptional ride quality & road handling is par excellance

Final Words

Will strongly recommend it to EVERYONE. Great value for money - Wider service network will encourage buyers.

Areas of improvement

Std accessories like Mats, flaps should be included, though still not avlbe. Nav though confirmed as accessory, but still not avlbe. Limiting auto start/stop (for eco) to 30C, implies it will hardly work. Park button or a brake function (like Merz) would hv made life so easy. Fuel economy is disappointing - especially when stated to be 16kmpl.

All pros - best under 30 car, not only considering it has no competition from BMW, Merz & Audiremoved the illuminated gear knob in the 2014 version. NAV made an accessory

Safety is Priority

I have been using carwale since last 3 yrs to screen to buy car. I have booked testdrive everything for Volvo through carwale. KIFS Volvo has arranged everything within one day demo and finalising car was easy. The sales and service team is excellent . I would recommend Volvo in case Safety is your priority
