Volkswagen Tayron R-Line

• The Volkswagen Tayron R-Line is powered by a 2.0-litre TSI turbo-petrol engine that pumps out 201bhp and 320Nm.

• The transmission duties are handled by a seven-speed DCT (dubbed DSB by VW group) automatic gearbox with paddle shifters.

• To deliver a true SUV experience, this behemoth seven-seater features the Volkswagen's AWD system along with six driving modes, namely eco, comfort, individual, sport, snow and off-road.

• The Tyron R-Line can propel from standstill to 100kmph was stated to be 7.3 seconds (claimed).

• In terms of features, the new Tayron R-Line boasts a 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, ambient lighting, wireless charger, 10.2-inch fully digital colour instrument console.

• It gets a massive panoramic sunroof to make the cabin feel more airy and spacious.

• To improve the seating experience, the second row seats get slide and recline functionality, along with three-zone climate control.

• Additionally, it gets 45W USB Type-C charging ports, HUD, 700W 16-speaker Harman Kardon-sourced music system, and rear sun blinds.

• It also comes equipped with a 360-degree camera system and a Level-2 ADAS suite to ensure driver awareness.

• Safety features for the Tayron R-Line arrive in the form of nine airbags, a Level 2 ADAS suite, ABS with EBD, parking sensors, seat belt reminder system, and a speed alert system.

• Also up for offer are EPB, ESP, TPMS, and more safety features.

• Up front, the Tayron R-Line gets sweptback LED headlamps with integrated DRLs, a single slat grille, an LED light bar, illuminated VW logo, and a wide air dam finished in black with a number plate recess.

• The clean and sophisticated lines are accentuated in the side profile too, with ‘R’ badging on the front doors, 19-inch machined alloy wheels, blacked-out B-pillars, and glossy black wheel arches. The dual-tone ORVMs are also positioned on the front doors.

• Towards the rear, the full-size SUV is equipped with two-piece wraparound LED tail lights, LED light bar on the tailgate, shark-fin antenna, illuminated VW logo, reflectors on the rear bumper, and a faux skid plate.

• Inside, the model receives a dual-tone beige and black upholstery theme. 

• The Tayron R-Line is offered in seven colour options, namely Ultra Violet Metallic, Grenadilla Black Metallic, Dolphin Grey Metallic, Oyster Silver Metallic, Cipressino Green Metallic, and Nightshade Blue Metallic.
