The Volkswagen GTI is a proper sleeper car that offers scorching performance. It comes with a stonker of an engine and the seven-speed DSG box offers lightning-quick gear-shifts. It has direct steering and the handling is superb for a hot hatch. Despite having a stiffer suspension, the setup is forgiving when it comes to road imperfections. That said, the Volkswagen GTI is expensive at around Rs 23.77 lakhs OTR and lacks the snob value that a Mini Cooper S offers. Further, the car looks too similar to the Volkswagen Polo.
