Exterior Very good exterior and good quality standards maintained.  

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Less boot space in second line. It is difficult to travel the taller persons in second line. Safety features really very good.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine performance are very good. Fuel - milage in highway it is coming 16 to 17 km & 12 to 13 in city roads.

Ride Quality & Handling Very good & impressive. Really we can feel it. Rain sensing wipers are very good. Second line boot space to be increse. Rare reading lamps have to be added. Sunroof & moon roof if added will become the most beautiful and reasonble budget car for middle class peaple.

If you have plenty of money to waste, they only you should buy VW car. I trusted this brand, and now I regret for my decision to buy Vw.

I bought Ameo comfortline Petrol and with very small accident, the 'Airbags' of the car got deployed( many car experts say this is manufacturing defect. such small impact will not lead to deployment of Airbags- pls see photo of damage) Can you imagine what is the repair cost? It cost me 35% value of the car itself ( Ex-works value of the car was Rs.6.20 lacs repair charges for just Airbag was about Rs. 2.30 lack ( yes, your read it correctly. Rupees two lacs forthy thousand).

Insurance companay give only 50% for Airbags. VW is literally cheating the customers as I when asked for a clarification why 45% of the vehicle cost for repair of front Airbags alone, I go no response.

Hence, I say, if you have plenty of money to waste, please buy this.

Exterior Front & Sides are looking good. Back side view is not upto the mark! Luggage compartment is OK.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Dual tone interior finish is Good. Excellent features like cooled glove box, ambient lights,front centre arm rest.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox 3 cylinder 1.2L petrol engine is making much noise. On an average 14 Km/L mileage. Smooth gear shifting

Areas of improvement  

1. It would be better to add the following

• storage space for cups & bottles in rear side doors
• centre arm rest for rear side seat
• rubber mat need to be provided for luggage compartment

      2. Need to use better class of engine with less noise.

      3.Fuel efficiency need to increase.

Beware about maintenance cost, I have driven the Ameo for 43,000 km now. The normal maintenance of 15000 km costs in the range of Rs 12 to 13k. Apart from that, the steering rack of my car required a change at40,000 km costing me a total maintenance cost of Rs 48,000/=. The dealer promised it on prorata warranty replacement but later denied warranty. Beware of navi mumbai dealer AutoBhan.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Superb Build quality with excellent fit and finish with first in segment features.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Excellent tried and tested engine with smooth acceleration. City 14 km/l, Highway form 18 up to 22km/l depends on personal driving habits. Once it has clocked 24.6 kmpl when driven at 60 to 70 km in 5th gear on the highway.

Final Words This is a value for money sedan with lots of first in segment features. From my point of view the best under 4 meter sedan in india and every penny is worht paying for this car. As we know german build quality is simply unmatched and when u ride this car u feel the difference between and german build quality and japnese/korean make. Even honda city has less gross weight than Ameo!

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox After a long wait to own a trusted and Powerful sedan I finally am happy to delighted to be a proud owner of VW AMEO DSG Automatic , specs on paper truly translates on the road.

I would encourage car lovers and enthusiast to test drive and own a VW AMEO DSG With a huge list of features it is truly hard to resist I tried to name a few but the list kept going. Cruise control, Auto dimming mirrors, Automatic Rain sensors, Auto one touch up and down windows, Reverse parking sensors with camera, touch screen display with Mirror link (only supported on some smartphones), cool glove box, Tilt and Telescopic Steering, Electrically foldable ORVM, Rear AC vents, one touch boot opener, Automatic Climatronic control, Hill Hold, ABS, Airbags, ESP,coin holder, remote window controls, hand rest. Toffee brown color just adds cherry on top.

Exterior This car is such a beauty!!!!Ameo's looks are amazing.The wheels of volkswagen cars are just the best as they signify their logo.Ameo means I love you and so this car is worth to be loveeed !!!! It's a dream car in the semi-sedan segment.Ford aspire is a good competetant for this car whereas it simply cannot be compared with maruti Swift Dzire, Hyundai Xcent, Honda because these cars are there in the market for a long time whereas ford aspire and volkswagen ameo are recently launched cars so it will take time for people to digest the truth.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Volkswagen Ameo's interiors comes with excellent finish.The car has telescopic steering wheel which is a boon for the car .It also has excellent features like cruise control,airbags(standard 2),beige interior(comfortline and highline) which is soothing for the eyes,reverse parking sensors and reverse parking camera which are not there in any car of this segment.It also has extraordinary features like anti-pinch,automatic rain-sensing wipers,laser welded body.Bootspace and legroom space is sufficient enough for this segment.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox German engines are best known in the world for it's efficiency thus the car has excellent stability. It runs smoothly on the roads but the engine performance, fuel ecomony is not optimum. Ameo has air-conditioned gearbox which is a cool thing for this car.

Ride Quality & Handling In my area nobody has this car so everyone just keep on lookin lookin' ;).I feel so special by owning this car !!!! I fell in love for this car since the day i took test-drive of this car. It has excellent ride quality and handling because of it's features. (Cruise control, telescopic steering etc.)

Final Words I would say go for this car and fall in love!!! Maruti,Honda,Hyundai are there in the market for a long time so do dare to try something new.Volkswagen Ameo is unique ,the greatest and just the best car in this segment.

Areas of improvement Ford aspire has 6 airbags which provides optimum safety so there i would say volkswagen ameo needs a little improvement .Also i would love to see more varients in the colours. Overall the car is tooo good and beautifulllll!

Simply Superb Car. Plz don't compare this car with its rivals like Dzire, Amaze etc.... otherwise you doing injustice to VW. I feel proud having Ameo Petro White Comfortline. Final Conclusion. I had some doubt while buying a Car in Aug'19. I had taken Test drive of its rival car like Dzire, Amaze and xcent but sadly all these cars failed against my VW Ameo. I was only concerned about Safety but I am getting mileage around 16 to 17kmpl in city with AC and 19kmpl on the highway. ( Depend and may vary with driving skill). It's Rugudness, rigidity, solidity and fun to drive has no match I mean No MATCH. The only cons that I have heard are high cost of its part but against that, your getting quality. Don't be confused and go for it. But Yes try to bargain much.

Exterior Build Quality, Colors are excellent. Looks very strudy and safe. 

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Apart from rear seat space the interior are very well done and gives you premium feeling. Handy pockets everywhere and large glove box to keep majority of the things.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox I am actually pleasently surprised by the Mileage. I have only driven few hundred KM but it's constantly clocking above 20KM on highways and around 16-17 in City. DSG Automatic is fantastic and Cruise Control is sheer pleasure on highways.

Ride Quality & Handling Ground Clearnance is bit low so one needs to be more careful over bumps and potholes, else superb ride quaility and handling.

Final Words Desiel Automatic is the car to go for. DSG nails it along with power fuel efficeny and I think it's best in class. Also Cruise Control in this segment is just fantastic when driving on highways and long journey.

Areas of improvement

1. Rear Seat Space (Maybe do away with little bit of boot space and increase cabin inside)

2. Side Mirror Does Not Fold!!!! (Unless top end varient)

3. Ground Clearance considering Indian Road Conditions.
