Exterior It looked average but it was bigger and spacious. It was tough and its higher models like gs,gst,rs looked more superior than its base model i.e FS and it actually looked better than that Tavera(plz dont get confused qualis with tavera)qualis also had design stickers on their body in gs and gst models, in fs,it was optional. Alloy wheels on RS model only.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Qualis had luxurious interior in its higher models like gs gst rs. seating capacity was optional. 7 seater(bucket seats in RS model) 8 seater(GS/GST)9 seater and 10seater(FS). We owned a gs c5 type 1 model of qualis 2000 model, goldenbeige colour with red and yellow coloured design sticker. aftermarket fittings, 5 spokes alloys on it. It had front power windows(in type2 model, it had power windows on all four doors), double a/c(it was the first jeep in india which had dual a/c, safari and tavera got these features afterwards, they copied it from toyota qualis),central locking, thrid row seats were front facing(in GS/GST/RS,in fs it had third row seats like sumos and tavera). As it had good build quality,in cheap price, it was loved by everyone, common people, tour operators(tourist taxiwala), policewala's,on government duty, for television and movie shooting, etc. it was very common vehicle and still many of them own qualis still today.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox 2.4 diesel engine,53 litres fuel tank, city mileage 11 kmpl and highway mileage 15kmpl, it had good life and durable vehicle for long term use( my qualis clocked 6 lakhs+ kilometers on its odometer, without any trouble! I also owned a tavera and it had clocked 3 lakh kilometers on odometer, it started giving trouble)

Ride Quality & Handling It was smooth on roads, even on rough road, it was smooth but it had leaf springs so on muddy roads and very bad broken roads, it was bouncy! rest all was better, it had good suspensions and it felt good to drive it and also enjoyable ride for passengers at back seat.

Final words It was a good car for touring purpose, it was efficient, trustworthy.

Areas of improvement Toyota should relaunch it again in the market and I m sure, it will eat the sales of bolero, sumo and tavera for sure.

It had a good fuel economy,15kmpl on highway, good resale demand, better than tavera, bolero in qualityit had leaf spring, vibrates at the speed above130 kmph
