Toyota Innova [2015-2016]

<p>The Supreme Court of India has extended the ban on the sale of large capacity (read 2000cc and above), diesel cars in Delhi till the end of April. The three-judge bench led by the Chief Justice of India, TS Thakur, said that it would lift the ban only if carmakers agree to a one-time environment cess.</p>

<p>Toyota recently revealed their plan of upping the safety quotient in all their cars. Under this initiative, the company plans to equip all their cars with automatic emergency braking by 2017.</p>

<p>With the spree of price hikes post the Union Budget 2016-17, we weren&rsquo;t expecting too many discounts this month. At best, may be few manufacturers offering the cars at existing prices. But a talk with the dealers and a look through the newspapers has revealed that there are still plenty of deals available this month.</p>

<p>One of India&rsquo;s most-loved cars, the Toyota Innova has eased itself into the pages of history. Yes, the very last units of the model have been rolled off the production line but before you heave a sigh of grief, we ought to make it clear that there&rsquo;s an all-new Innova coming soon. Now although this successor is likely to come off as a better product in every plausible way, let&rsquo;s not forget the brilliance of the old car that is shaping up to be a sure shot future classic.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Earlier in the day, we confirmed that Toyota has stopped production of the current generation Innova. Now, our sources have confirmed that majority of the Toyota dealerships have already run out of stocks of the top-end ZX and VX trims.</p>
