Exterior The new head lamp design with the front grill and LED / fog light jells well giving it a sharp look. The distinct shoulder and bottom lines on the sides carries the design from the front well to complement with its rear. The rear of the car for me is the best however, its complete profile may look stubby - you have to blame it to the sub 4 meter length. Big 15 inch allows gives the car an imposing stance. Overall the looks in this category is best in Zest.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) With Zest, Tata has come a long way ahead when it comes to its interiors. Colour, quality, fit and finish are impressive. – We buy a car to travel comfortably and for that we need SPACE, which is lots in any Tata car and Zest has adequate storage space too for sub 4 meters (390 liters) Getting in and out is fairly easy even for 6 foot+ and seats are comfortable – here Zest blows its competition by a big margin. Harman Kardon music system sounds fantastic. You will not get this quality of music even in premium cars. To name a few - Touch screen, steering mounted controls, ABS EBD from second variant, Allow wheels for all variants- are features from many more that you get in Zest.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox New Revetron engine gives you the pickup and power needed for city driving as well as weekend drives. The economy, as claimed, for petrol is about 17.5 and diesel at 23 Kmpls is not bad. My short drive was exciting with smooth gear shifts and engine modes i.e Eco, Sport and City is impressive and worked well. The diesel comes in auto gearbox too.
Ride Quality & Handling Smooth and enjoyable. I must say that handling is particularly very good and Zest feels very easy to drive.
Final Words Overall, Zest is a practical and a beautiful car being offered at an attractive price. Audio system sounds refreshingly good. One cannot like it only if he decides not to.
