- Ownership Safety Concern After ServiceI am posting this ownership experience because prospective Tata Nexon EV buyers should understand that vehicle safety extends beyond crash-test ratings and the engineering of the vehicle itself. Long-term ownership safety also depends upon the standards, accountability and responsiveness of the authorized service network. My experience with Jay Automotive, Satara, and Tata Motors has raised serious concerns regarding customer-specific health and safety instructions during servicing. I had previously lodged a formal complaint after the dealership applied dashboard polish, silicone-based shine products, gloss dressings, and similar interior surface-treatment products to my vehicle despite my explicit instructions that such products must never be used. In my experience, these products left oily residues on interior surfaces, caused skin irritation and discomfort, generated strong synthetic chemical odors, and compromised windshield clarity through transfer and off-gassing, resulting in increased glare and reduced visibility, particularly during nighttime driving. Following that complaint, the dealership acknowledged the issue in writing, apologized, and expressly assured me that before every future service they would inform me of the planned work and obtain my approval before proceeding. Despite this written assurance, the same issue was repeated. Dashboard polish, silicone-based shine products, gloss dressings, or similar surface-enhancing products were once again applied without my knowledge or approval, disregarding both my documented instructions and the dealership's own written commitment. This is not a complaint about cosmetic detailing or personal preference. It is a documented health and safety issue specific to me that had already been expressly communicated to Jay Automotive and Tata Motors. Repeatedly exposing a customer to products that have already been documented as creating health and safety concerns for that customer demonstrates a troubling disregard for documented customer-specific service instructions. Following the recurrence of the issue, I submitted a further detailed complaint together with a formal request for preservation of evidence and disclosure of service records. As of 29 June 2026, I have not received any substantive response from either Tata Motors or Jay Automotive. My ownership experience has shown that a vehicle's crash-test rating is only one aspect of safety. Long-term ownership safety also depends on whether the authorized service network respects documented customer-specific health and safety instructions and consistently honours its own written commitments. Prospective buyers should consider not only the vehicle itself, but also the quality and accountability of the after-sales service network responsible for maintaining it throughout ownership.Rating Parameters(Out of 5)2

About the ReviewerPurchase NewDriven ForOver 500 km54 - 8 year battery warranty is a lieI have been using the Tata Nexon for the last 4 years and have crossed 75000 kms. The car never gave more than 150 km range in Mumbai traffic. Just that the overall running cost was low, so we were happy. But since past 9 months, the battery used to get discharge from 40% to 5% in 5 mins. We submitted the car on 15th November 2025 for review, and they said that the main battery needs to be replaced. It's 30th January, and still they don't have a battery. What's the point of giving a battery warranty if replacement is taking more than 2.5 months, and we still don't know when we will get the car? We cannot trust brand Tata anymore.Rating Parameters(Out of 5)2

About the ReviewerPurchase New2941 - Respect high regards to Tata. But after sale service Team is non productiveWorst car, waste of money, poor driving range only 132 kms on 100% charge. Pathetic customer support. At 40 % range shown is 70 kms but suddenly drops and runs only 15-17 kms and break downs on the way . This has happened yo my car more than 10 times . Complaint reported to costumer service several times no proper response . Car handed over to heritage motors several times ,they kept it for 7-15 days but couldn't resolve the problem. Service team is so bad that the wiper broken while the car was in their custody but they handed over to us without even informing us . Heard the same kind of response from many nexon ev owners.Rating Parameters(Out of 5)1

About the ReviewerPurchase New109 - Nexon EV long range
Good interior and excellent in handling.. but very poor in mileage .. after committing for 450 km from tata I am getting only 260 km in economy mode . It’s like cheating by Tata motors .. if your can’t able to provide promised range don’t commit.. I feel now it’s like tata Indica ..if you can’t assure 350 km range have to give compensation for customers.Rating Parameters(Out of 5)5Exterior
