      Dear Friends,

Don’t consider this negative reviews at all.

Think what TATA has given in nano in 1.7 lac.( full version)

      • It has Aluminium engine, which quickly overtakes 4 maruti 800 at a time, which has very old cast iron engine.
      • It has radial tyres.
      • It has MULTI POINT FUEL INJECTORS, where 800 has old technology’s carburetor.
      • It is 21% more spacious than 800. It has ECU (like processor in computer) and it’s own softwares( like operating system).
      • It has the least turning radius.
      • It has hollow steering which prevent’s brain haemorrhage at severe accidents. It has air density and humidity sensor, which controls fuel supply according to quality of air, so performance of engine is not affected by change in environment.
      • It has canister, which stores fumes of petrol, so it gives excellent pick-up.
      • It has digital odometer.
      • It has 4 years/60,000 km warranty.

It is really a wonder car, But the thing is it has become victim of negativementality.

Think what TATA has given in nano in 1.7 lacNothing when considering the low price

I feel very happy and satisfied at having TATA Nano LX. I have been driving in central and Eastern Himalaya for over two decades using various internationally famous cars. This car is very impressive for the follwing reasons for use on  narrow zigzag roads on Himalaya which have sharp turnings. First the 30% gradeability is amazing in climbing   even the steep slopes.Reduced body weight is blessing because there is always risk of side road sliding by heigher body weight. Also the shorter wheelbase allows to negotiate sharpest turns easily which is otherwise not possible with other vehicles. The higher ground clearance is also very much to advantage. The approch angle of >35 degree and departure angle above 46 (as measured by myself) increases it's suitability on hilly roads. Also I have experimented that it can successfully negotiate fording depth of more than 300 mm ! Digitally it seems that it's lateral overturn agle could be around 40 degree ! This is perfect for a tall vehicle like this.  Of couse Nano can not be compared with any off roader but it  seems practical in addressing many features of hill off roaders ! The top speed is about 105 kms/hour which is more than sufficient. When the car reaches to this speed the fuel supply to engine is cut off to stop over speeding. When I blocked this device for acedamic interest , the car picked up speed of 120km/hr .I suggest never to do this because it can damage the engine severly by overheating. The engine is bit loud but tolerable. This is the case everywhere with just a two cylinder engine in use. But reward in terms of fuel economy is handsome. This vehicle is perfect for tall drivers .The four wheels in four corners makes the car ride as if you are driving a sports car. It's manoeuvrability is a pleasent surprise. Finally I wish to tell that it's body is not flimsy but is as perfect as other standard cars.

It is a real car and is the need of the hour for allsmall wheels

I am driving my TATA NANO LX in Delhi. This car is amazing. its external graphic lines are very cool. Hats off for Mr. Ratan Tata for his efforts to make such a wonderful car at this price point. It is very spacious from inside. Even five people can sit comfortably.I like the turning radius the most. In cities like Delhi this car is very comfortable to ride in traffic. Its HVAC is very effective, the pickup is also good. The major drawback for this car is its storage space. Answer to your query: As the car is new,No problem with AC wid or widout load and on flyovers. The engine is little bit noisy but in cabin there is no sound. On a new car I go to 70km/h only and the stability was more than expected. The mileage is 16.5kmpl in city traffic, with my son has started learning driving and widout first service.Exteriors, Seating Comfort, HVAC, Turning Radius, Inner SpaceStorage Space

I took a test drive of the Tata Nano LX yesterday and did a very detailed road test. I already own a Maruti Suzuki SX4 and was looking for a inexpensive, easy to own second car and evaluated the Maruti Alto, Chevrolet Spark and the Tata Nano.

The Alto comes across as an extremely capable car, well proven and with the new K10 engines a pleasure to drive. Besides being a "Maruti", after sales service and cost of spares are a given to be very competitive. On the negative side, the car looks dated and does seem like a new avataar of the venerable M800.

Chevrolet Spark was also good to drive and I liked their new 3 year Zero maintenence deal. On the negative side was the very low dealerships in Mumbai. I also heard of users complaining on the poor after sales service on some Car blogs.

Tata Nano was last on my list and I was frankly not expecting a lot. But was I mistaken. This tiny tot from the Tata stable had more than enough punch to take on the other guys in town and then some. I loved the fresh looking design, the mileage was excellent, the car drives well and with the tall-boy design you can look down upon other cars. From the driver's seat the view is excellant and the maneuverability is fantastic - a perfect fit for stop and go traffic. The car is very spacious and the diminutive engine very capable to propel the car was well as to power the AC. The only cons I found was the rear fixed glass - impractical for servicing the engine (below the rear seats) and expect some stains on your rear seat covers. The other con is the 4-speed gear box - while it is sufficient for most conditions, a fifth gear would have made all the difference.

One final point - I found more people staring at me when driving the Nano then when I drive my SX4 :-)

The Tata Nano is an overall winner in looks, strong engine performance, easy to drive and extremely affordable. With the new Rs. 100 per month maintenence package, it is an incomparable buy. Needless to say, I bought one and am expecting delivery tomorrow.

hai my name is raghavan.we got nano in september. The car good in style.we traveled in our car at a time nellore to chittor(150km).There is no inconvenience to travel.but if we want to sit 5 people it will be  discomfort.a/c is very good than any car in india.normally we won't feel any heat in car but if  we touch the bottom of the rear seat we can feel heat.engine noise is very much problem.if we hear it from outside it is like tata ace auto.except this we can't find any other problem.it is giving 21km/lit in city and 25km/lit on highway without a/c
thanks for giving this opportunity ..........bye

      Exterior Looks fine.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Though it looks like a mini car, actually it has good interior space. A/C is good.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine Performance is good, bit noisy though. I able to get appx. 20 KMPL with A/C in highways. Not able to measure in city rides. Gearbox shift is fine enough.

Ride Quality & Handling Not sure, why power steering is not provided. If you are planning buy this for your wife / mom, its not preferable, since it will be difficult for them to park / drive this in heavy traffic roads. No difference while on ride.

Final Words A decent vehicle for fuel economy concerned.

Areas of improvement Service network is not good or not geared enough. I discovered a unique problem with my nano. I didn't start nano for 3 consecutive days and tried to start it on the 4th day. I noticed the battery is discharged completely by itself. No clue, called the breakdown assistance and charged it. Sent my vehicle to VST service station in Chennai and as per their examination - no discrepancies were observed.  But the same problem occurred again. It was very  painful for me to get it re-charged every time by calling break down assistance. Though the break down assistance service is good, But no body able to solve my actual problem. So far i have used breakdown assistance thrice and thrice sent my vehicle back to service station in last 2 months.

My vehicle is in VST service station @ chennai for past 14 days, no clue whats going on. I don't get any update and i have to call them to get an update. Finally, they are claiming, its fault with the battery and they going to replace it. But replacing a battery should not take 14 days (10 if sundays & holidays are considered).

I am going to test my vehicle again by keeping it idle for 3 days - post this delivery and will post my review here.

Good for indian city roads and good fuel economyPost sales service is not good.

Have ever any one in global passenger car segment dared to be wise? like Mr. Tata had done? ANSWER IS BIG NO, Why becoz it cost you to be WISE AMONGST THE WISEST. He is the first ever Indian Titan who has proved beyond doubt that he is the Wisest amongst all the players.

NANO point: Do you know there are 34 global 1st patents used in NANO? NANO USED SUPER GLUE INSTEAD OF CONVENTIONAL WIELDING MATERIAL - GLUE WHICH CAN WITHSTAND 1 TON LOAD.

NANO GEARS SUPPLIED BY KINETIC - Leading company in automobiles.

NANO SEATS BY TATA JHONSONS CONTROLS.- WHOLLY OWNED TATA SUBSIDIARY.

      DASHBOARD/MOULDINGS/DOORS:

Sister company Tata TACO worked on parts like interior injection mouldings, dashboard aggregates and door handles.

       CABLES/MIRRPS:

It also entered into a JV with Ficosia International of Spain to supply cables and mirrors for the car that are being produced at the company's Hinjewadi, Pune facility. Tata TACO will supply over 20 per cent of all the parts being built for the Nano.

       ENGINE & CONTROLS:

Bosch was asked to develop the engine management system for the car. A relatively complicated and expensive component in general, Bosch imported the control unit, sensors and actuators for the car.

For the Nano, it created a blink mode that allows for the car's health to be detected even without a diagnostic tool. One can also know the fuel efficiency during the last five cycles. Despite trying to keep costs in check, Bosch also managed to have a limp-home mode in case some sensors on the EMS fail.

       AIRCONDITIONERS:

For a small car, a powerful air-conditioner that doesn't sap engine power was crucial. Behr, the German air-conditioning expert was roped in. The HVAC modules, manual control heads and condensors were developed by Behr, in association with Anand Automotive systems. A 60cc rotary compressor from Panasonic has been used -- about 10cc larger than the one on the Maruti 800.

now you are lot wiser man do go for this INDIAN GIFT TO THE GLOBE.
