Tata Hexa Pearl White

I love the monsoons. The bright green of new grass, the lovely cool breeze, and since it's not hot or sultry, there is no awful odour come end of day to really turn the missus off.So, to celebrate this gorgeous season we rounded up a bunch of capable SUVs at a challenging off-road location, which is 19 Degree North at Aamby Valley, with the idea of spending a day having fun and also finding out how these burly machines cope with Mother Nature.

They say a dog is man’s best friend, and if there’s a grain of truth to it, then it’s equally likely that an SUV is man’s best tool. As long as it’s equipped with four-wheel drive, low-range gearbox and loads of ground clearance, it can take a man to places otherwise unattainable on a soft-roader or a crossover. Rather worryingly, that thought did cross my mind while driving the Tata Hexa 4x4, a crossover, to our off-road venue in Lonavla.

The Tata Hexa has been in the works for a considerable amount of time. It was first showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo, and the brand’s new flagship model serves as a replacement for the Aria. Though it shares the Aria’s platform, they’ve tweaked the styling broadly and equipped the car comprehensively to attract the young and style conscious buyer. It goes without saying that the first impression of this SUV is quite impressive, nonetheless. We drove the car extensively and this review will tell you whether the Hexa was worth the long wait.
