Skoda Superb [2016-2020] User Reviews

1. Bought my Superb TSI L & K from Global Skoda, Kolkata in Aug 2019. In the process of selecting the car I did several test drives and called several times to all the dealers with my doubts and queries. I was a little skeptical about Skoda brand since like you all, I have read enough bad reviews about the dealers and after sales service. But as far as buying experience is concerned, I am thoroughly satisfied. They made me feel special but weren't too pushy with their sale. 2. Riding experience has been excellent. Don't expect it to give you a cushy ride through big potholes or speed breakers but rest assured you won't feel the smaller ones. The steering is light and easy to use in city traffic. Acceleration, specially in Sports mode, is terrific. It will push you against the seat for sure. The drive train is smooth as silk. 3. 'Superb' means 'Stately' in Latin and it looks just that, elegant and stately. The usp of this car is its interior and boot space. You will not find this space even in the next class of cars. Features like hands-free boot opening/closing, park assist, proximity sensors around the car, electronic seat adjustment with personalize settings, ventilated front seats etc makes the car beyond comparison amongst its rivals. Actually Superb has no rival sedan in sub 40 lakh. To utilize and get used to all its features you need to study the manual and see a lot of Youtube videos. I am still learning!! 4. My car is just 2 months old, driven 3000 kms, so I cannot comment on servicing and maintenance. Got an average of 11.5 Kmpl in highways and 6.7 kmpl in city condition. My earlier car Civic used to give similar mileage so I am not complaining. 5. Pros: Back-seat space; Boss switch (controlling the front passenger seat position from back); Boot Space; Handsfree boot operation; Infotainment system - ease of operation; Ventilated front seats; Personalized setting for driver seat and side mirrors associated with each key (there are 3 keys); Parking assist (it actually works!); silky smooth gear train; Ease of steering; Umbrella storage space in the two front doors - very clever!! Cons: 1. AC isn't very good. I got Llumar sun film fitted and even after that on a very hot summer afternoon, the back seat is barely comfortable. 2. The driver left arm rest isn't of sliding type and hence not too comfortable. 3. There is no remote to operate the infotainment system from back seat (Skoda claims 'Skoda Media Command' app can do it but I haven't been able to do it). 4. The door storage space, though adequate (can hold a 1 ltr standard sized bottle) has a tricky problem of inaccessibility at its corners. I saw it in a video at the showroom where Skoda claims Superb is the best in next class. I think so too. Its probably the most undersold car in the country.

Overall it's a good buy. Powerful, Elegant, Masculine look with full of features. It has every thing of almost 50% more expensive cars in this segment. Value for money vehicle, driving pleasure is excellent, spacious of all in this segment. Need to improve its mileage and air conditioning. Needs more time to cool in sunny days.Could better if it has LED headlight, better center console with terrain adjustment knob.

Hello People. I am here to provide a forward edit to my earlier review "Superb Design. Superbly Built..." My vehicle is now 20 months old. It has completed 4800 kms and undergone its first servicing. The total servicing cost was Rs 8,662/- only. Simple regular maintenance was done and I am satisfied with the job. The one downside I have realized with this car is the "Condensation formation on Headlights" during a particularly humid weather. It is very noticeable during the night. Earlier, I complained Skoda (service center as well as their Regional Head CRM) regarding it. But they convinced me that it was absolutely normal for sharp-cut headlights with running DRLs using high beam LEDs. I checked the car manual as well. There as well, it mentioned that condensation around the LED region was a natural phenomenon. There were enough ventilating holes provided within the headlight structure so that the moisture disappeared eventually and didn't increase to a state of dripping (which would be hazardous). So yeah... that apart, I have had no issues guys + Plus the service center (Jamshedpur, Jharkhand) said that whenever I needed those ventilation holes in the headlight cleaned, they will happily do it for free. A sea-change in Skoda's service attitude. Finally - I have read that some people have had battery leakage / compressor issues with Superb. My heartfelt sympathy for such damage occurring to your car and poor service provided. To others, please keep one thing in mind: DON'T EVER WASH UNDER THE CAR BONNET with WATER JETS. These are not old cars. At some places, they need to be handled delicately. Thanks for reading. I will be more than happy to answer any and all of your queries.

The car was amazing and it's superb car for superb experience it's all about your style car avrege 16kml it's amazing it's has 8 air bag and it's has great family and it's worth to buy but you can drive this car car is really really impressed you and your family It's not only car it's a power full m machine But car not get maintenance is 10000

Give led headlights . Give better handling like bmw cars and seats more comfortable at back that go behind and passenger can take rest having more leg room look wise this car is so amazing i love this car. And give digital instrument cluster. And it service is so good. At last this car is so amazing i love this car give radar system in car like other country give dual air bag .

best looking car in the segment. once somebody step inn will definately love the luxury feel of it . it offers all the top notch features like auto park assist, electric sunroof, various driving modes etc.
