      While looking for a proper sedan, I considered City, Verna & Ciaz as the obvious choices. My requirements were- petrol engine ( as my usage is around 10-12k KMS/yr), auto transmission- a must have as it has also to be driven by my wife, spacious & comfortable (have 2 kids in the family), decent milage ( as it's my daily drive to office) Test drove all 3 sedans before making a decision. Dropped Verna because of its lack of rear seat space & headroom ( I being 5'9" and my head scrapped the roof regularly), also feedbacks on its automatic's milage were not encouraging. City was impressive in it's drive and handling & also rear bench space is very good, but it's auto variant is ~ 3 lacs more than Ciaz's. Then I test drove Ciaz auto, and was pleasantly surprised by its performance and comfort. Frankly, it's 4 speed torque converter auto transmission is not speed or performance oriented, but for a daily drive in rush hour traffic, it doesn't dissapoint. It's very refined, with hardly any NVH inside the cabin & has enough grunt to quickly fill those traffic gaps. Biggest plus is the Hybrid engine- which basically is the engine start/stop tech that works smoothly & seemlessly to stop the engine when idle & restarts at the slight tap of accelerator pedal. It does help to save those extra mls of ever expensive fuel. Rear seat space is impressive, can seat 3 healthy adults without any problem of any sort, plus it has rear AC vents also. My 6 yr old daughter, uses that bench to sleep comfortably during our drives. Have done 3k KMS & 6 months with the car and Nexa service experience has also been good, with timely service reminder and I didn't spend even 1 Re on its 1st 2 services. During these 3k KMS in daily rush hour traffic, am getting 12 kmpl. Haven't taken it much on open highways, but am sure there, this milage would improve by 4-5 kmpl atleast. Cons- nothing significant here, as Ciaz proves it's worth as a real value for money car, really feels premium in it's Alpha variant ( all LED setup, 16" alloys, all leather upholstery including leather wrapped steering wheel, 7" touchscreen ICE unit with Android auto & apple car play, enough chrome all around) Overall, Ciaz is the car that appeals much more to the mind than your heart, and keeps you amply comfortable and happy in it's every drive.

      I suggest you do not buy the car. The maruti nexa people are not at all helpful and have little or no knowledge about their car. I bought a new ciaz car in October 2018 and it has a problem where sometimes the side rear view mirrors of the car do not open. And as we all know how necessary are the side rear view mirrors I asked the nexa people for an immediate solution. But, it has been almost 2 months and they have no idea why this problem is occurring. The car has been serviced 1 time and nexa people have looked through this problem atleast 6 times. This is a serious issue which you should consider and avoid buying this car. Thanks!

      Comfort is awesome. Purchased it on 11 l (ciaz Alfa model)Millage is 16 kmpl in City and 21 in highway with chilled ac is too good. Back seaters will feel superb in terms of comfort level.i have purchased it in 2019.

      The car is good but unfortunately the service centers are not equipped to handle high-end cars. Mileage is very poor, Headlights are worst, No provision for headlight adjustment which is a part of even lowest-priced car but not provided in this high-end car. Very poor service experience

      Buying experience: awesome, Maruti knows how to make things seamless for customer. Riding experience: very comfortable for passengers, can take bangalore roads with pride. Driving experience is mediocre. 4 speed auto gearbox is pathetic. Pushing the car to limits make noises, also the car should be more powerful. It sometimes feel underpowered. Looks: acceptable looks. Vento looks way better then ciaz. Ciaz is a size statement car. Looks good. But not all colour age well. Performance: 1.5L petrol AT is just okish. Blame goes to 4 speed torque converter unit. Its just slow compare to CVT and DSG. Very slow acceleration!! Handling: good stability till 120. The steering wheel is not that heavy in high speed. So confidence is avg. Servicing: best in class. Seamless channel.

      Nice car. Nice driving experience. Can have a comfort driving through highways. But need to have sunroof options too. And unfortunately diesel variant has been discontinued. New BS6 varient has enough power and efficiency to glide through highways. Interior is quite excellent. Have a luxurious feel.

      Buying Top End Automatic model was perfect decision. Excellent riding experience. Driven 5000 Km , Only facing small issue of sound from dashboard, otherwise performance of car is excellent. No problem during pickup, or during overtaking. Mileage is issue some time due to driving condition but this is not car problem as sometime I got 22.6 km/hr also. Look of the car is perfect and attractive.Performance very good. Done Service for TWO time , its not expensive . Worth buying TOP end Automatic model, as it gives peace of mind during traffic , has very good facility of Auto engine stop and Start after you release the brake help to save fuel. Strongly suggest to buy top end Automatic model.

      I purchased Ciaz 2018 top model 2 months back. The car came with lots of surprises. There are lots of issue in car AC Grill sound comes when there is rough road. When AC starts it gives very bad smell. Annoying sound comes from door glasses. Engine auto stop, always shown unavailable. No auto close mirror on start stop. I would advice not to buy this car.

      1.Buying experience Yet to buy, did a short test drive, but have described first impressions below, experience with NEXA showroom was satisfying during first visit. 2.Riding experience After driving Honda City, Verna Automatic, it is disappointing that Maruthi Suzuki is still discreetly cutting costs by offering only '4-speed' torque converter AT transmission, while all the rivals are light years ahead with CVT technology and 6-speed AT gear box. But that said, it is a descent car to drive, unless you are a car enthusiast, the flaws and cost cutting by Maruthi Suzuki will be glaring and the 4 -speed AT is sure to dissappoint you unless you are ignorant about 4- speed AT and CVT. The Engine power from the previous 1.2 to the new 1.5 is a big big boost to power and a much awaited feature, sure to bring smiles to those who were bogged down by the erstwhile underpowered 1.2 Engine. If only MS had gone for a CVT or 6 speed gear Box, this would have by far beaten Honda City and Verna in all areas, and would have become the King of Sedans. I am still puzzled why MS went for the 4-speed, probably they are aware that customers who are ignorant about CVT technology, will in any way be convinced with the Brand Maruthi, especially with other segment first features like Hybrid. When they can offer CVT in their hatchback ' Baleno' there was simply no reason why they decided to cut costs in CIAZ with a for 4 -speed AT'. Undoubtedly a blatant cost cutting measure to ensure costs are much below rivals, this is a very silly and a stupid decision by MS management, and Engineers, and I hope MS realises that they can't go on fooling customers all the time. I won't be surprised if the next upgrade will have a CVT, which will just kill the rivals once and for all. This lack of CVT could be the game changer and one reason I will surely go for Honda CITY. Hope MS takes note of this. 3.Details about looks, performance etc CVT AT would have most certainly given this car easily a 10-15 % increase in mileage, but sadly you will have to be satisfied with the pathetic 4-speed AT, which struggles when you need power to overtake, it is surely bound to disappoint you. looks are pretty descent, with large wheels, and car is quite comfortable, but driver side seat adjustments could have been much better with more flexibility. I was pleasantly surprised with the mild hybrid tech, it was indeed a great advancement in technology. Compared to rivals, it is fun and exciting to see the new graphic display of Torque, Power, centre of Gravity, and other driver information, cleverly incorporated in the Dashboard info. The 2 din - Bosch music system is descent, with reverse parking assist, didn't try GPS navigation, but iPhone sync works well. Cant comment on the suspension, as I couldn't drive on bad roads. 4.Servicing and maintenance No need to mention anything about MS's legendary servicing/maintenance reliability, it goes without saying, that in India, if you are looking for a no nonsense car, with good after sales support, cheap spares, and good resale value, then Maruthi Suzuki is the one to go for, and if you are also a person who likes to frequently change your cars, then just go for MS. 5.Pros and Cons PROS : Low ASS, cheap spares, accessibility to service centres in remote locations., Hybrid technology, good resale. Good mileage. Cons : Maruthi cars are not for the car enthusiasts. Lack of CVT or 6-speed AT is a major flaw and very disappointing and difficult to digest, but the manual gear box is a good alternative, but not fun. Yet again, MS has proved that their cars are not for the Car enthusiasts. MS has a lot to learn to shift their business philosophy from merely mileage driven to performance driven.

      Ciaz is a very comfortable car to use. There is enough space available. Lokking Nice. Ciaz will be a nice journey to you. It looks like a luxury car Performance level is Very Good. There might be no feeling of losing money. Interior and Exterior are Very Nice. Once used, Ciaz can never be left behind.
