I have driven Honda Amaze 2018 AT V Ivtec 1500 Km. including 800 km long journey. Pros. CVT Good. AC Good. Music System good. Cons. Suspension very very bad. Driver seat not ergonomic. Old amaze good. Rear seat comfort very bad. Seat size less .old maze good. Conclusion. Good for city drive. Not for long journey.

Very poor mileage....Only 12 Kms but the company recommended 19. I am very disappointed with this car.. The salesperson Mr Sathish from Sundram Honda in Karur promised that it will give 19 Kms. But it is not true. it's a false statement. Don't say such non sense to the customer to sell a vehicle. This is not suitable to middle-class People. Don't buy this car and Don't waste your money..

Pros: Exterior Looks Great, but is that all?

Cons: Fog Lamp is not so effective, Bumper Plastic

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

Pros:

1. Good Music System
2. Feels Good.

Cons:

1. Not so comfortable for 3 adults in the back seat.
2. Plastic Buttons on Steering Wheel is Awful & Cheap
3. No Cooled Glow Box

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

Cons:

1. Pick up Issue
2. 11-12 kmpl average only within city
3. Reverse Parking Vibrations issues (Reported from many Owners)
4. Steering Wheel Issues ( BIG SAFETY Concern for your FAMILY)
5. Think 1000 times before buying this car

Detailed Review:

I have purchase this car in the last week of June 2018 fron Landmark Honda, Ahmedabad. Within a Month I've faced different type of problems like, Loud Chu Chu Noice from the Front, Reverse Parking Vibrations, My steering Wheel behaving Odd and Car Leaning issues. I have reported these issues to the Service Stations and they simply denied even acknowledging them. Moreover they have said It's your illusion. I've asked my uncles and some auto expert friends to drive my car and let me know if any such problem persist.

We've all chacked these problems on different roads, at different speeds, with different loads in the car and with all the possible parameters, we'hv confirmed that this Brand new, one month old Car is having these issues. I again went back to the dealership and informed the same and they said "Are your Uncle/Friends Honda Certified Mechanics?" LOL. Can you imagine this? That means if you want to purchase a Honda Product, at least one of your family member should be Honda Certified Autocare Expert. What Rubish.

Then, I raise a complain to one2one and they got somewhat attentive to just listen to me what I'm saying in my compaint. I went through 7 days of complete Harrasements from the delearships with no intentions of helping me and solving those problems and Those problem still persist in my car and they've closed my complaint.

Petrol-CVT is smooth, efficient and well suited for the city. Comfortable ride over all surfaces, noiseless suspension even over broken roads. Fuel efficient (13km/l in bumper to bumper traffic). CVT is not available in the top-of-the-line variants and hence misses out on cruise control, touchscreen infotainment system and rear-view camera.

Exterior Captivating AND GIVES THE LOOK OF A BIG CAR A WELCOME CHANGE FROM THE EARLIER SHAPE.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Seats now very comfortable ALSO MORE AND COMFORTABLE SPACE FOR THREE AT THE BACK DASH BOARD IS PLEASING IN THIS MODEL.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Good Pick up GEARS CHANGE SMOOTHLY MINIMAL ENGINE NOISE IN PETROL VERSION.

Ride Quality & Handling Smooth EVEN ON ROUGH AND UNEVEN ROADS.

Final Words I have been driving Honda Amaze (SMT) since Ap 2014 and now want to shift to Amaze CVT. However I find that although VCVT variant of 2nd Gen Amaze is the costliest of all yet some important Features like Advanced Infotainment System with Navigation and Reverse Camera have not been provided in this Variant. This is very disappointing.

You will kindly appreciate that after paying the maximum one would want the best  of features.

Areas of improvement LED HEAD LIGHTS WOULD BE WELCOME WIPER SYSTEM AT THE BACK MIRROR WOULD BE USEFUL.

My car has just been driven 5100 KM's with 2 services down and has been repaired twice for suspension work in warranty. There is lots of cabin noise Honda has surely done cost cutting in its quality . My first car of Honda and I regret it deeply. Am selling it now within a use period of 6.5 months. Thanks Honda great machinery and an experience unforgettable. Basically can I get my money back.Never buying a Honda in my life.

Buying experience: I bought the car during Diwali sale at Bangalore.The color in options were amazing.Sales person was continuously pitching to buy the top model(for obvious reason).I had liked the car from the beginning so choosing Honda petrol engine was obvious.There no underbody coat and the mats provided by company is not that good.This I came to know only after buying.But overall good experience.I was given test ride of both manual and automatic
Riding experience: Amazing.CVT steals the show.Paddle shifters are amazing on highway.Some people complain of slow pickup but trust me its nothing like that.Probably they are driving automatic for first time.I would prefer a thicker tyre but thats ok.Ride is smooth and comfortable.Your sitting posture is little different in this car and gives you a good view of the road.Bonnet is little up,so the view is good in bumper to bumper traffic.
Details about looks, performance etc: Resembles that of civic(but thats too much to say).VCVT doesnot come up with touchscreen which is shame.Body though beautiful is not that strong(like tata) ,but is better than Maruti.You definately need to put boot chrome else car looks little bland.The car has a mustang like stance with civic type looks
Servicing and maintenance: Servide experience was good.I have my first and second service done.They drove ny car and checked thoroughly,which I liked.Since car is new there is no major problems as such in mine.People complain of softer suspension,but it suits me well in city traffic.
Pros and Cons: Cons: No touch screen in vcvt No rear camera in vcvt At speeds higher than 100,engine sound is quite high in cabin Rear headrest are fixed No AC at rear Pros: Cvt and paddle shifters is brilliant combo Car looks fantastic,much better than its rivals Sitting position is fantastic Space at rear is good 420l boot carries big bags easily Too much confidence in driving the car

I am owning an Honda amaze for around 3 years I am having 1st generation amaze And i am loving the way it feels Smooth and powerful I have kept it as simple as i can Becoz it doesn't need any modifications I am lazy guy,for giving my car for service and all becoz i mostly use it for city ride so while i give it for service it doesn't cost me alot

Very bad mileage and pick up. Unusual sound from the rear end when you go on a speed breaker. Very delicate exterior, dents appear on the car if you just lean on it. Very cheap quality. Nothing good or economic about the car. Waste of money.
