Porsche Cayenne EV

• The Porsche Cayenne Electric has two models – the standard Cayenne Electric and the Cayenne Turbo Electric – both of which are underpinned by a 113kWh HV battery, based on an 800V architecture.
• The Cayenne Electric is powered by a 325kW/835Nm (peak) motor that enables a 4.8-second 0-100kmph sprint, and a top speed of 230kmph. Claimed range stands at 642km.
• The Cayenne Turbo Electric takes things a notch higher, with the setup rated to churn out 850kW/1,500Nm, enabling a 2.8-second 0-100kmph sprint, and a top speed of 260kmph. An additional 130kW can be supplied for a 10-second boost. Claimed range stands at 623km.
• With regards to charging speeds, the Cayenne Electrics support DC fast-charge rates of up to 400kW, which add 325km (standard) and 315km (Turbo) in 10 minutes. Additionally, the HV battery can be juiced up from 10-80 per cent in 16 minutes. The Cayenne Electrics can also be charged by an 11kW inductive (wireless)charger, wherein the car needs to be placed on a dedicated charging plate.

Porsche Cayenne EV Key Specifications:

• The Porsche Cayenne Electric cabins get a curved OLED panel that separates display and control areas. There’s a 14.25-inch OLED IC and an optional 14.9-inch passenger display.
• The smart cluster enables one-touch operation via widgets, and it also supports third-party app integration via the Porsche App Centre. There’s also an AI-enabled voice pilot, which can also be used for navigation. With the Porsche Digital Key, devices like smartphones and smartwatches can be used to lock/unlock the car, and the same can be shared with up to seven devices.

Both Cayenne Electrics are claimed to have Formula E levels of recuperation (regen), wherein the motors themselves generate a 600kW counter-force, and Porsche claims that 97 per cent braking duties are handled solely by the said electric motors. If need be, manual braking can be handled by Porsche Ceramic Composite (PCC) disc brakes.

• Externally, both Cayenne models get a low bonnet and Matrix LED headlights, contoured wings, gently sloping roofline, frameless doors, distinct crease on the door surface, 3D side skirts painted in Volcanic Grey Metallic (Cayenne Electric) and high-gloss black (Cayenne Turbo Electric). These models also get specific wheel arch trims. The rear light strip exudes a 3D look, animated graphics, Porsche lettering, Turbonite-coloured contrast elements like Porsche crests, alloy faces, and side window trims.

• The Porsche Cayenne Electric models also get an Off-Road package, tailored to customised approach angles and robustness. Its aerodynamics are enhanced by the Porsche Active Aerodynamics (PAA) system. Active aerodynamic elements include movable air flaps on the nose, adaptive rear spoiler, and rear active aero blades.

• Internally, the cabin gets mood modes, five interior choices, and five accent packages. The Cayenne’s interior can also be individualised through the Paint to Sample and the Sonderwunsch programme.
