
The past week was an eventful one for the automotive industry, with multiple launches, new variants, and special editions making headlines. From the introduction of updated versions of the Bolero and Bolero Neo to Kia expanding the Clavis lineup and Nissan previewing its next big SUV, here’s everything that happened this week.
2025 Bolero and Bolero Neo Launched

Mahindra has given its long-running workhorse, the Bolero, and its urban sibling, the Bolero Neo, a significant refresh for 2025. Both SUVs now sport new body colours, revised styling, and a more feature-rich cabin while continuing with their proven diesel engines mated to manual transmissions.
The 2025 Bolero now starts at Rs. 7.99 lakh, while the Bolero Neo begins at Rs. 8.49 lakh (ex-showroom).
Kia Carens Clavis Gets New Variants

Kia India has expanded the Carens Clavis lineup by introducing a new six-seater layout and a fresh HTX(O) trim. The latest variant comes powered by the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with a seven-speed DCT gearbox.
Windsor EV Inspire Edition Launched

Marking its first anniversary, the Windsor EV has received a celebratory Inspire Edition. Positioned above the Essence trim, it features a dual-tone exterior, new interior theme, and exclusive Inspire motifs. Priced at Rs. 16.65 lakh (ex-showroom), deliveries for this edition are set to commence from 15 October.
Toyota Fortuner Leader Edition Revealed

Toyota has added another version to the Fortuner’s growing lineup with the introduction of the Leader Edition. Joining the GR-S and Legender variants, this edition sports fresh body kits, black alloys, a redesigned grille, and a new maroon-black interior. It continues with the 2.8-litre diesel engine mated to manual and automatic gearboxes in a 4x2 configuration. The prices for this variant will be announced in the coming week.
Skoda Octavia RS Booked Out in Days

Skoda opened bookings for the upcoming Octavia RS on 6 October for a token amount of Rs. 2.50 lakh, and all 100 units were sold out within four days. Scheduled to launch on 17 October, the performance sedan packs a 2.0-litre TSI petrol engine producing 261bhp and 370Nm, with a 0–100kmph time of 6.1 seconds and an electronically capped top speed of 250kmph.
Jeep Compass Track Edition Launched

Jeep India rolled out a new Compass Track Edition, based on the top-spec Model S. The limited-run version adds blacked-out styling cues, ‘Track’ badging, and a fresh interior theme. Powered by the 2.0-litre diesel engine with manual, automatic, and 4x4 configurations, the Track Edition is priced from Rs. 26.78 lakh (ex-showroom) onwards.
Nissan Tekton Previewed

Nissan has officially previewed its upcoming Creta-rival SUV, christened the Tekton. Based on the CMF-B platform, the Tekton is expected to play a key role in Nissan’s comeback strategy for the C-segment SUV space. The model is slated for launch between April and June 2026 and will be produced locally for both domestic and export markets.
