The auto industry wrapped up an eventful week with fresh teasers and launches building momentum across segments. Mahindra XEV 9S nears Launch

Mahindra is inching closer to the launch of the XEV 9S, and with every teaser, more pieces of the puzzle are falling into place. The upcoming seven-seater electric SUV will pack a heavy dose of technology and comfort. A triple-screen dashboard layout, a panoramic sunroof, changeable ambient lighting, and electric boss mode seats have been confirmed. The teaser also confirmed a power-assisted tailgate and even frunk storage space. With the launch just around the corner, the next big things we expect are full interior reveals, variant details and pricing announcements on 27 November.
Dual-Screen Setup for Sierra Lower Variants

While the highlight of the Sierra has been the triple-screen setup in the higher trims, a new teaser now reveals what the more affordable variants will get. The lower and mid-spec Sierra trims will sport a dual-screen setup, one for infotainment and one for the digital instrument cluster. Interestingly, they gain a heads-up display, which surprisingly isn’t available in the fully loaded three-screen variant. More information on feature distribution and variant-wise pricing to be known on 25 November.
Toyota Hyryder Recalled

Toyota launched a voluntary recall for 11,529 units of the Urban Cruiser Hyryder, covering SUVs manufactured between 9 December, 2024 and 29 April, 2025. The campaign has been rolled out to inspect and replace the instrument cluster, which may have a possible fault in some units. Toyota dealers will reach out to owners individually to schedule inspection and replacement at no cost.
Mini Cooper Convertible Bookings Open

On the luxury front, Mini India has opened pre-launch bookings for the Cooper Convertible ahead of its December 2025 debut. The convertible differentiates itself from the hard-top through its fabric roof, which can be opened or closed in just 18 seconds and can operate at speeds of up to 30 kmph. Powering the Mini Convertible is a 201 bhp, 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox.
