
As the festive season picks up pace, carmakers are leaving no stone unturned to keep the buzz alive. This week saw some big launches and important announcements from Skoda reviving its performance icon, to Tata bringing ADAS to its popular SUV, to Hyundai revealing features of its upcoming Venue. There were also updates from Nissan, Kia, Toyota, and Mini, making this a rather eventful week for car enthusiasts.
Tata Nexon gets ADAS and Red Dark Edition

Tata Motors has launched the ADAS-equipped Nexon alongside a special Red Dark Edition. The ADAS suite adds features like Autonomous Emergency Braking, Forward Collision Warning, and Lane Departure Alerts, available across select petrol and diesel trims. Meanwhile, the new Nexon Red Dark Edition, priced from Rs. 12.44 lakh (ex-showroom), gets a black exterior theme with red accents, ventilated front seats, and red cabin highlights.
Hyundai Venue Facelift Spotted

The new Hyundai Venue was spotted undisguised overseas this week, revealing a sharper front and rear design. In India, Hyundai confirmed that the updated Venue will debut on 4 November, featuring Level 2 ADAS, dual 12.3-inch screens, and enhanced connected tech.
Skoda Octavia RS Launched

Skoda has brought back the Octavia RS to India, priced at Rs. 49.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Powered by a 2.0-litre TSI engine producing 265bhp and 370Nm, it can accelerate from 0 to 100kmph in just 6.4 seconds. The sedan also packs Matrix LED headlamps, 10 airbags, ADAS, 19-inch alloy wheels, and a Canton audio system. Sold as a fully built unit, all units were snapped up within minutes of bookings opening.
Kia Carens Clavis EV gets Two New Variants

The Kia Clavis EV lineup now includes HTX E and HTX E (ER) variants, positioned between the HTK+ and HTX trims. Both new variants add more equipment such as a panoramic sunroof, full LED lighting, auto up/down function for all windows, ECM rear-view mirror, wireless charger, and a two-tone steering wheel with tilt and telescopic adjustment. The ‘ER’ suffix denotes the Extended Range version, equipped with a larger 51.4kWh battery pack.
Toyota Hyryder Aero Edition Introduced

Toyota has launched a new Aero Edition styling kit for the Urban Cruiser Hyryder, priced at Rs. 31,999. The kit adds body skirts, black alloy wheels, Aero badging, and subtle cosmetic enhancements. It can be opted for with any variant of the Hyryder, irrespective of the powertrain.
Nissan Magnite CNG now with AMT

Nissan has introduced CNG variants of the Magnite compact SUV with AMT gearboxes, making it the only car in its segment to offer this combination. Available with the 1.0-litre petrol-CNG setup producing 57bhp and 82Nm in CNG mode. The Magnite CNG-AMT also continues with a dual-cylinder setup to maximise boot space.
Mini Countryman JCW ALL4 Launched

Mini India launched the Countryman JCW ALL4 performance crossover at Rs. 64.90 lakh (ex-showroom). It gets a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 302bhp and 450Nm, mated to an eight-speed automatic with ALL4 all-wheel drive, capable of 0 to 100kmph in just 5.4 seconds.
