- Performance version of the Golf
- CBU import
Volkswagen plans to announce the price of the upcoming Golf GTI in India on 26 May. We will drive the car this week, and our first drive impressions will be out on the launch day.

The Volkswagen Golf GTI is a performance version of the standard Golf. In its latest iteration, the hot hatch features a slim fascia with sleek LED headlamps, GTI badging, 18-inch alloy wheels, C-shaped LED taillights, dual exhausts, and a roof spoiler. Moreover, it gets an all-black interior with a 12.9-inch touchscreen, digital instrument cluster, and a three-spoke steering wheel.

However, it is the performance and handling that the VW Golf GTI is globally acclaimed for. It is powered by a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine that produces 261bhp and 370Nm torque. It comes mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. It's said that the first batch of bookings is full, with deliveries expected to start soon after its launch. Official variant-wise prices will be announced in the coming week. Stay tuned.
