The 2026 Volvo XC70 has made its global debut as the brand's flagship estate SUV and first plug-in hybrid. It's currently available for pre-orders in China, with a European launch planned later, while there's no official word on an India launch yet. Here's a picture gallery of the XC70 combines electric mobility with the practicality of a hybrid powertrain.

The XC70 slots between the XC60 and XC90, targeting buyers who want to transition to electric driving gradually.

It rides on Volvo's Scalable Modular Architecture (SMA), combining an electric motor and petrol engine for over 1,200km of total range.

The battery can be charged to 80 per cent in 23 minutes, while supporting bi-directional charging capabilities. This allows the car to power external devices when needed.

More than an estate, it’s now an SUV that ditches the traditional station wagon design. It features a closed front grille with active shutters and C-shaped tail lamps integrated into the rear glass.

The XC70's cabin features a 15.4-inch central touchscreen and 12.3-inch digital driver display as standard. These are the main highlights inside its cabin.

It also offers an optional augmented reality head-up display, AI voice assistant, and smartphone app connectivity with over-the-air software updates.

Safety systems utilise radars, cameras, and sensors to offer features like automatic lane changing, parking aid, and cyclist alerts, enhancing overall safety.
