Volvo announced the introductory prices of its most affordable offering in India, the EX30, earlier this week, with prices starting at Rs. 39.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The aforementioned prices will be applicable till 19 October, after which it will bear a Rs. 41 lakh (ex-showroom) tag.

We recently tested the EX30 for its real-world range. As per the CarWale protocols, the AC temperature was set at 23 degrees, while the fan speed was set to 3. The drive mode was set to default, and there was no option to change the brake regen level. The test was majorly conducted in the city, followed by a sprint on the highway.

The new Volvo EX30 is claimed to return a WLTP-certified range of 480km on a single charge. It is propelled by a 69kWh battery pack paired with a single, RWD electric motor. Power output stands at 272bhp and 343Nm. Through our test cycle, the car ran for 403km before running out of juice. This resulted in a real-world accuracy of 83.75 per cent of the claimed range.
