Even as we wait for Volkswagen India to pull the covers off the new Tayron SUV, the carmaker continues to roll out updates for its current product portfolio. The German carmaker has rejigged the variant list, alongside a price revision for the Virtus lineup.

According to details, prices of the entry-level Comfortline 1.0 MT and the Topline Chrome 1.0 AT have been reduced by Rs. 70,201 and Rs. 3,155, respectively. Notably, these are the only versions that see a price cut, as the prices of all other variants have seen a considerable hike. The company has discontinued two variants, namely the GT Plus Chrome 1.5 MT and the GT Plus Sport 1.5 MT.
The price of the Virtus 1.0 MT GT Line has been increased by Rs. 45,236, while those of the Highline Plus 1.0 MT and the Highline Plus 1.0 AT have gone up by Rs. 40,541 and Rs. 39,339, respectively. Next up are the Highline 1.0 MT, GT Line 1.0 AT, GT Plus Chrome 1.5 DSG, Highline 1.0 AT, and the GT Plus Sport 1.5 DSG variants, which have become dearer by Rs. 29,536, Rs. 29,034, Rs. 25,085, Rs. 24,032, and Rs. 21,065, respectively.

Finally, customers purchasing the Volkswagen Virtus Topline Chrome 1.0 MT will have to pay a premium of Rs. 5,642 over the outgoing price list. With this update, the Virtus is now priced from Rs. 10.50-19 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom).
