Volkswagen to unveil the T-Cross compact SUV in 2018

During the unveiling of the Golf based T-Roc SUV, Volkswagen also announced that it will officially unveil the T-Cross compact SUV in 2018. Shown as a convertible SUV in late 2015, this is a Polo- based SUV and will slot in below the T-Roc.

The T-Cross Breeze that was showcased has many design elements similar to the new SUV language that we are seeing on VWs latest SUVs. When unveiled in production form, we believe that it will be an MQB underpinned vehicle and make use of the same engine and gearbox options found in the new generation Polo.

We believe that Volkswagen will bring the T-Cross to India. It will make use of the same engine and underpinnings and be a sub- four metre SUV to take on the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Ford EcoSport, Honda WR-V and the Mahindra TUV300.
