Volkswagen has revealed key details of the Tiguan R-Line, ahead of its launch scheduled next month. Pre-bookings for the model are now open and can be made at official dealerships or the brand’s website.

The 2025 Tiguan R-Line will arrive with the option of six hues - Persimmon Red Metallic, Cipressino Green Metallic, Nightshade Blue Metallic, Grenadilla Black Metallic, Oryx White with Mother of Pearl Effect, and Oyster Silver Metallic. The carmaker has not revealed variant details, although we expect a single, fully-loaded version to be available at launch.

Coming to the engine specifications, the new Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line will be powered by a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, TSI petrol engine. Unlike the global version, which produces 261bhp and 400Nm, the India-spec car will produce 201bhp and 320Nm state, a boost of 17bhp compared to the tune offered with the standard version. Also up for offer will be the brand’s 4 Motion, four-wheel-drive technology.
