Volkswagen recently unveiled the Tayron R-Line three-row SUV in India. Expected to launch in the second quarter of the current calendar year, here’s a photo gallery, showcasing the SUV in all its glory.

Externally, the Tayron R-Line sports a sleek grille with a connected and segmented LED light bar, LED headlights, blacked-out air vent section with plastic inserts, piano black wheel arch claddings, 255/45 R19 dual-tone alloys, ADAS module (Level 2), and piano black ORVMs.

At the rear, a connected LED light bar with an illuminated logo is visible. Tail lights also have a geometrical graphic. The Tayron also gets a shark-fin antenna.

The cabin space is generous. The front row sports an infotainment screen (12.9 inches) tilted towards the driver, and the instrument cluster is sized at 10.2 inches. However, the dial on the centre console functions as a volume controller and a drive mode selector. The engine start/stop button is also located to the left of the dial.

The Tayron also has an AR HUD.

However, the third row is tight for an adult. It is only good for child occupants. Both the second and the third rows can be folded.

The Tayron also feels roomy, thanks to a dual-pane panoramic sunroof.
Mechanically, the Volkswagen Tayron is powered by a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, TSI petrol engine, tuned to churn out 201bhp/320Nm. With the three-row SUV yet to launch, bookings for the same have opened at Rs. 51,000.
