- Will get illuminated logos
- Set to arrive later this year
Volkswagen has been working on the facelifted Taigun for a while now, as is evident from the series of spy shots that have surfaced over the last few months. A fresh set of images shared on the web gives us the best view yet of the upcoming iteration of the mid-size SUV.

As seen in the pictures here, the 2026 Volkswagen Taigun wears minimum camouflage. This allows us a peek at the updated design, which includes the LED light bars at the front and rear, illuminated logos inspired by the recently launched Tayron, fresh elements for the LED tail-lights, redesigned front and rear bumpers, and a revised headlamp setup with LED lighting. Also up for offer will be a fresh design for the alloy wheels.
Inside, Volkswagen’s answer to the Hyundai Creta, Tata Sierra, and the like is expected to come equipped with a 360-degree camera, dual-zone climate control, panoramic sunroof, and possibly even a massage function for the rear seats.

In the specifications department, the new Volkswagen Taigun facelift could soldier on with the same 1.0-litre and 1.5-litre TSI petrol engines paired with six-speed manual and seven-speed DSG units. The six-speed torque converter automatic gearbox, though, is expected to be replaced by the new eight-speed unit, the same one that debuted on its sister car, the Kushaq facelift. The refreshed Taigun is confirmed to arrive later this year, although a finer timeline is still under wraps.
