Updated Mahindra BE 6 Formula E Edition to Launch on 15 August

• To get bigger C-shaped DRLs and tail lamps
• Likely to be based on the top-spec variant with the 79kWh battery pack

Mahindra has teased an updated version of the BE 6 Formula E Edition, with the special edition set to be launched on 15 August. Launched in November last year, this will be the first update for the special edition.

Based on the teaser, the most noticeable change is the adoption of larger C-shaped DRLs and tail lamps, similar to those on the standard BE 6. The teaser also shows the special edition in the Tango Red shade. It is expected to continue being offered in multiple colour options, as was the case with the existing Formula E Edition.

Beyond the revised lighting elements, the updated Formula E Edition is expected to retain several of the styling changes that distinguish the current model. These could include Formula E-themed body decals, black alloy wheels and a Formula E badge on the front fender. The cabin will also feature a theme that is different from the standard BE 6.

The updated Formula E Edition will not be the only special edition Mahindra is expected to unveil on 15 August. The BE 6 Sporteq is also scheduled to make its debut on the same day and is expected to feature a different interior theme along with a triple screen layout.

Mechanical changes are unlikely for either edition. Both are expected to continue with the existing 59kWh and 79kWh battery pack options. The special editions are likely to be based on the top spec Pack Three trim and will be offered in limited numbers.
