2025 proved to be a landmark year for the Indian automotive industry, marked by major launches, notable comebacks, and significant milestones. From the Maruti Suzuki Victoris winning the Indian Car of the Year award to the revival of the Tata Sierra, the year delivered a wide range of products across segments. Performance-focused models such as the Volkswagen Golf GTI and Skoda Octavia RS also made headlines, while electric offerings like the Mahindra XEV 9e and Tata Harrier EV highlighted the growing shift towards electrification.
Looking ahead, 2026 is shaping up to be even more eventful. Several manufacturers are preparing facelifts, next-generation models, new electric vehicles, hybrids, and global products for the Indian market. Here is a brand-wise look at some of the most important launches expected in 2026.
Maruti Suzuki - New Brezza, e Vitara, Ertiga, and more

Maruti Suzuki is expected to adopt a more aggressive product strategy in 2026. The Brezza facelift is likely to arrive early next year with subtle but meaningful updates. Expected changes include a revised front bumper, refreshed grille, new alloy wheels, and updated lighting elements. Recent spy images also suggest the possible introduction of ADAS, which would be a significant upgrade for the compact SUV. Interior revisions could include added technology, a refreshed dashboard layout, and a larger touchscreen, helping the Brezza remain competitive against rivals such as the Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, and Mahindra XUV 3XO.

Another key launch will be the e Vitara, Maruti Suzuki’s first all-electric SUV. After multiple delays, the model is expected to finally enter the market with two battery options, a 49kWh unit and a larger 61kWh pack. The latter is claimed to deliver a range of up to 543km. Backed by Maruti Suzuki’s extensive service network, the e Vitara could play a crucial role in the mass-market EV space, although pricing will be critical, especially against competitors like the Creta Electric and Mahindra XEV 9e.
In addition, Maruti Suzuki is expected to introduce feature updates for the Grand Vitara, including a powered tailgate, ADAS, and a possible head-up display. A long-overdue update for the Ertiga, potentially in the form of a new-generation model, is also anticipated, along with updates for the XL6.
Mahindra - XUV 7XO, Scorpio-N facelift, and Global Pik-Up

Mahindra is expected to have one of the most comprehensive product line-ups in 2026. The Mahindra XUV 7XO is among the most anticipated launches of the year. Pre-bookings are already open, and the model is set to replace the XUV700 with a more premium positioning. It is expected to feature a bold new design, increased space, and a strong focus on technology.
Drawing inspiration from the XEV 9S, the XUV 7XO is likely to offer features such as a triple-screen dashboard, powered co-driver seat with boss mode, and a 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system.

The Scorpio-N facelift is also due in 2026. Test mules indicate subtle exterior revisions, including updated lighting and bumpers. Interior updates could include improved materials, a revised infotainment system, and the possible addition of features such as a panoramic sunroof and ADAS.

Mahindra is also expected to launch the Global Pik-Up towards the second half of 2026. The model has been undergoing extensive testing and is likely to cater to both lifestyle buyers and customers seeking a utility-focused pick-up.
Skoda- Kushaq facelift, Slavia facelift, New Superb, and more

Skoda is set to refresh its India portfolio with a mix of facelifts and global models. Both the Kushaq and Slavia are expected to receive facelifts. The Kushaq is likely to arrive first, possibly in January, with refreshed styling, updated lighting, new alloy wheels, and feature additions. A panoramic sunroof is also expected to be introduced. The Slavia facelift will follow with similar cosmetic and interior updates. Skoda is also expected to introduce the Kylaq Monte Carlo special edition.

Meanwhile, the fourth-generation Superb is set to return to India as a CBU model. The new Superb follows Skoda’s Modern Solid design language, featuring sharper LED lighting, a cleaner silhouette, and a larger footprint. It is expected to offer improved rear-seat comfort, a new interior with a larger infotainment system and digital cockpit, and higher-quality materials. While global markets get both petrol and diesel engines, India is likely to receive a petrol-only option. The Superb will be positioned as Skoda’s flagship sedan, above the Octavia.

Additionally, Skoda is evaluating the introduction of the performance-focused Kodiaq RS. The RS variant offers sportier styling, stronger performance, and enhanced driving dynamics, along with a turbo-petrol engine and all-wheel drive as standard. If launched, it is likely to be brought in as a CBU in limited numbers.
Kia - New Seltos, Syros EV, and Sorento

Kia is expected to focus heavily on technology and electrification in 2026. The Kia New Seltos will be Kia’s first launch of the year. It is expected to offer more features, added space, and the same proven powertrain options. Prices are scheduled to be announced on 2 January, and the model is expected to continue as a strong seller for the brand.

Kia is also expected to introduce the Syros EV. While the ICE version struggled to gain traction, the electric iteration could fare better. With an expected real-world range of around 400km, EV-specific updates, and minor interior revisions, the Syros EV could emerge as a more compelling proposition.

Another potential launch is the Kia Sorento, which is expected to arrive as a seven-seater SUV with a hybrid powertrain. Globally, the Sorento is offered with petrol, diesel, hybrid, and plug-in hybrid options. It features a bold, boxy design, a premium interior with large screens, ADAS, and high-quality materials. All-wheel drive is available in select international markets.
