Skoda has made it official that the upcoming Epiq EV will be a cornerstone of its plan to double its all-electric portfolio by 2026, signalling a shift towards offering EVs across a wider spread of price points and body styles. Rather than depending on a limited number of premium electric models, the company is now targeting volume-driven segments such as compact urban crossovers, which continue to gain popularity in Europe.
Positioned as Skoda’s smallest and most affordable BEV model, the Epiq will serve as the entry point to the company’s EV range. It will sit below the Enyaq and the recently introduced Elroq, while a larger seven-seat electric SUV, expected to be called the Peaq, will cater to the high-end space.

With regulatory pressure pushing manufacturers towards electrification, it seems Skoda wants to build a more flexible EV lineup rather than relying on a few flagship products. Expanding into the compact SUV segment could be particularly important, as it mirrors the space traditionally dominated by high-volume petrol and diesel models.
