Skoda is readying an entry-level compact EV to complete its new-energy portfolio. Jointly developed by Skoda, Volkswagen, and Cupra, and built in Pamplona, Spain, the Epiq will be positioned below its bigger EV siblings like the Elroq, Enyaq, and the seven-seat Epiq. The compact EV could come at a sub-Rs. 25 lakh price point.

A completely unwrapped Skoda Epiq was spied testing in the north of Scandinavia, where temperatures are in negatives right now. With the showcar revealed about 1.5 years ago, the sighted iteration seems to have borrowed several elements from the concept, barring the rear end, where it sports a sharp C-shaped tail-light cluster as opposed to the showcar’s T-shaped units. The rear bumper (as opposed to the concept) brushes the vertical slats away for a cleaner, minimal look, whereas the front bumper continues with the same design with a closed-off grille and large air intakes. While the showcar had dual-tone alloys, the sighted test mule had a different alloy design and a single-colour brushed finish.

Spanning 4.1 metres long, the Epiq does not fit sub-compact dimensions. The eSUV will have a spacious cabin, 475 litres of storage (boot), and a range of up to 425km. The entire spec sheet will be furnished during its mid-2026 showcase. The Epiq will also follow Skoda’s ‘Modern Solid’ design language, with the interior set to receive wireless smartphone charging and haptic scroll wheels on the steering for on-screen controls.
