Toyota has officially revealed its first all-electric model for the Indian market, called the Urban Cruiser Ebella. Essentially Toyota’s iteration of the Maruti eVitara, the electric SUV is set to rival the Mahindra BE6, Hyundai Creta Electric, Vinfast VF6, Mahindra XUV 3XO EV, and the MG ZS EV.

Key feature highlights of the new Toyota Ebella EV include ventilated front seats, ambient lighting, reclining and sliding rear seats, wireless mobile charger, JBL music system, Level 2 ADAS, 360-degree camera, seven airbags, dual-tone red and black interior theme, 10.1-inch driver’s display, 10.25-inch infotainment system, new two-spoke steering wheel, EPB, 10-way electrically adjustable driver seat, and connected car technology.

The 2026 Ebella electric SUV will be offered with 49kWh and 61kWh battery packs paired with a single electric motor. The smaller unit develops 142bhp and 189Nm, while the larger unit belts out 172bhp and 189Nm. The carmaker claims a range of up to 543km on a single charge.

Elsewhere, the Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella features all-LED lighting, charging port on the left front fender, 18-inch black alloy wheels, and a new front bumper. Colour options on the model include Cafe White, Bluish Black, Gaming Grey, Sportin Red, Enticing Silver, Land Breeze Green dual-tone, Sportin Red dual-tone, Enticing Silver dual-tone, and Cafe White dual-tone. While bookings are now open for Rs. 25,000, the company has yet to reveal the variant details.
