Ever since its launch in India in September last year, the Platinum Etios Liva has helped Toyota add to the sales numbers. The carmaker has now recently launched a special edition of the hatchback. This new version can be had in a dual tone exterior paint scheme. It also gets some cosmetic changes to differentiate it from the standard vehicle. As seen in the image, the car gets the black treatment from above the shoulder line. The roof and the pillars of the car are painted in black to make it look quirky.
The new front grille with a black finish, chrome bezel for the fog lamps and sporty bumper is carried over from the facelifted car launched last year.
Also to enhance the style quotient and give the car a bold look, Toyota has equipped this special edition Liva with diamond-cut alloy wheels.
The OVRM caps are also black coloured to go with the overall dual tone theme. The top-end trim gets electrically foldable as well as adjustable mirrors integrated with the side indicators.
Apart from the black roof, the Liva, in addition, gets a spoiler to give it a sporty look. This one is also painted black keeping in mind the taste of customers.
On the inside, the interior layout is the same as before, but the dashboard gets a new dual-tone treatment of ivory and black. The feature list continues to be the same.
With the Liva facelift Toyota had upped the safety quotient in the car. So this special edition also gets the Isofix child seat mounts, a middle head rest and three-point seat belt in the second row.
Owners can fold the rear seat to increase the cargo versatility. Also, with this seat down, a good open area can be created from the trunk to the passenger compartment for more usable space.
The dual tone Liva continues to be powered by the 90bhp 1.5-litre petrol mill or the 68bhp 1.4-litre diesel unit. Both these engine options come mated to a five-speed manual gearbox.
On the safety front, the Liva continues to get ABS and EBD as standard. The front seats are equipped with pre-tensioner and force limiter. Dual front airbags are also offered as standard.
Toyota is offering the dual tone Liva is three body colour options with the black treatment. These include the super white, ultramarine blue and the vermilion red.
