- Three engine options
Renault has stolen the limelight with the new Duster. The SUV’s Nissan sibling, the Tekton, will make its debut next month. The reveal of the Duster has given us an idea of what we can expect in the Tekton, and here are some major highlights.
Feature List
The fully loaded Renault Duster gets plenty of features, some of which we have listed below. These should ideally be carried over in the Tekton.
- Powered front seats with ventilation
- Dual 10.25-inch screens
- Connected car technology
- Wireless phone mirroring and charging
- Powered tailgate
- Panoramic sunroof
- Split-folding rear seats
- Arkamys sound system

ADAS and Safety Package
The Duster will be the car from the Renault-Nissan Alliance that will debut driver assistance systems for India. This includes 17 Level 2 ADAS features, which will place the Duster on a level playing field with the competition. What's more, both cars are expected to offer six airbags, ABS with EBD, stability program, and a five-star GNCAP/BNCAP crash test rating.
Powertrains
Nissan is expected to pick up all three engine options found on the new Duster. Entry-level versions will make use of Renault's 1.0-litre turbo petrol, while the mid-spec and top versions will get a 1.3-litre turbo petrol. Closer to the festival season, both companies are expected to launch variants with the 1.8-litre full-hybrid engine, aka 160 E-Tech.
