The 2020 Tata Tigor facelift was spied testing earlier this month in Pune. The car has been spotted yet again, undergoing road tests before it hits the market. The facelifted model will carry Tata Motors' IMPACT 2.0 design philosophy along with an Altroz-inspired front fascia.
As a part of the facelift, the new Tata Tigor will feature a set of new projector headlamps, redesigned grille and revised front bumper. The car is also likely to get a new hood, and a re-profiled rear bumper. As far as interiors are concerned, the Tigor facelift is likely to get added equipment and an updated trim. Standard safety kit will include speed alert system, reverse parking sensors and front seat-belt reminder, in addition to dual airbags and ABS with EBD.
The new Tata Tigor will come powered by a BS-VI compliant 1.2-litre three-cylinder Revotron petrol engine that makes 84bhp and 115Nm. It will continue with the 5-speed manual and AMT transmissions. Tata Motors is unlikely to update the smaller 1.05-litre diesel motor to BS-VI compliance, and will in all probability axe it, owing to the higher development costs.
The facelift model is expected to be launched in the latter half of the year. We expect the prices to be hiked up slightly, compared to the existing car.
