The Punch brand has garnered huge success for Tata Motors, with the model becoming the bestselling car in India in the previous calendar year. Building on this success, the model has now reached a new milestone.

Tata Motors has rolled out a total of 5 lakh units under the Punch range. This includes not just variants special editions but also numerous powertrain options, including petrol, CNG, and EV. Notably, the carmaker reached a milestone of 4 lakh unit sales in August last year.

For the uninitiated, the Tata Punch is powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine paired with five-speed manual and AMT units. This motor develops 87bhp and 115Nm, while the CNG version, available only with a manual gearbox, belts out 72bhp and 103Nm. The model is also sold as an EV, and customers can choose from 25kWh and 35kWh battery packs that return a claimed range of 315km and 421km on a single full charge, respectively.
