- Named after the original HBX concept from 2020
- No specs revealed
The Punch facelift may have been the star of the show, but in a corner at the launch arena lay something else that eventually became a star in its own right. Made as a homage to the original concept car from six years ago, the Punch HBX is an off-road-focused package for the micro-SUV.

Up front, it has the high upright stance of the Punch but with a different bumper, complete with tow hooks. As a part of the deal, Tata has also fitted two faux air intakes on the bonnet.
In profile, you can see the blacked-out wheels and silver cladding on the door sills and on the A and B pillars of the doors. The roof rails, too, are different and chunkier than the standard car.

Finally, at the rear, Tata has fitted this Punch HBX with a two-piece rear spoiler and some styling elements under the connected tail lamps. Like the front bumper, the rear too gets silver inserts as part of the deal.
There are no changes to the cabin, and the HBX edition is based on the top-spec Punch and thus gets all the bells and whistles offered with the Accomplished +S variant of the SUV.

Tata has been tight-lipped about specs of the HBX edition but since it is based on the top variant, we expect it to get all three powertrain options with both AT and MT options.
This HBX edition is pretty close to the original concept car but updated to match the vibe of this Patch facelift. There is no word on pricing but considering the segment and vehicle, we expect a maximum of Rs. 40,000 for the complete pack.
