- New two-tone interior
- New steering
- EV-inspired bits
The Tata Punch is set to receive a facelift soon. With fresh spy shots (CNG version) having surfaced on the internet, these preview the facelift’s upcoming interior layout.
It looks like Tata motors is making an attempt to bring in some uniformity across the portfolio, as far as the design front is concerned. While it’s not a gripe per se, this move will certainly make the budget offering feel more upmarket. Externally, the Punch Facelift is highly likely to get a new fascia. In this case, the CNG version (evident from the stickers on the test mule) gets a dual-tone beige and black interior – something that its electric counterpart already has. We can also see a two-spoke steering as opposed to the three-spoke design that the existing ICE iteration gets. Although unconfirmed, the infotainment system looks like it’s making use of a larger display real estate. Given that existing Tata models get the modernised two-spoke steering with an illuminated logo, the same should make its way here.

As with the majority of facelifts, newer iterations mechanically mirror the existing ones. This implies that the Punch Facelift should get the same 1.2L three-cylinder petrol (87bhp/115Nm, 5MT/5AT) and CNG (102bhp/103Nm, 5MT only) configurations.
