Tata Motors has updated the Punch with changes to its design, cabin layout, feature list, and powertrain options. The compact model continues to be positioned as an urban-focused micro SUV with multiple fuel and transmission choices. Here’s a detailed look at what’s new on the latest iteration of the Tata Punch, explained through images.
The updated Punch gets a more upright front fascia, with a redesigned grille and a reworked bumper. An additional cladding and a skid plate element aim to give this model a tougher visual stance, while retaining its compact proportions.

The Punch now features LED headlamps and DRLs, along with a connected LED tail-lamp setup. These updates bring the lighting package in line with newer Tata models in the portfolio. With design revisions, the Punch is now 49mm longer than before. The increase contributes to a wider stance visually, although the wheelbase remains unchanged.

Higher variants are equipped with newly styled 16-inch alloy wheels. The updated design complements the SUV-inspired exterior, while retaining the same tyre size as before.

The Punch is available with multiple colour options, including new shades such as Caramel, Cyantafic, Bengal Rouge, and Coorg Clouds, along with existing colours like Pristine White and Daytona Grey.

Inside, the Punch gets a refreshed dashboard layout with a dual-tone finish. The design focuses on maximising space and improving perceived quality through revised materials and textures. The highlight of the cabin is a new 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. It supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and sits at the centre of the dashboard.

Depending on the variant, the Punch offers features such as rear AC vents, wireless phone charger, automatic climate control, air purifier, and a front armrest. A surround-view camera system is available on higher variants, offering multiple viewing angles and blind-spot monitoring through the infotainment screen.

For the first time, the Punch is offered with a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine, producing 120bhp and 170Nm. This engine is paired with a six-speed manual gearbox. In addition to the turbo-petrol unit, the Punch is available with 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol and CNG versions. Both can be paired with manual or AMT systems.

The petrol versions offer a boot capacity of 366 litres, while the CNG version offers 210 litres due to the twin-cylinder setup. Safety features include six airbags as standard, electronic stability control, hill-hold assist, tyre pressure monitoring, and a 360-degree camera on higher variants.

The Punch is offered in multiple trims spread across Smart, Pure, Adventure, and Accomplished personas, with further sub-variants adding features progressively.
