Earlier this week, Tata Motors launched the new Punch facelift in India, with introductory prices starting at Rs. 5.59 lakh (ex-showroom). Bookings are currently underway, and while deliveries are expected to begin soon, let us take a closer look at the entry-level offering.

As seen in the images here, the 2026 Tata Punch base variant, called Smart, features new vertically stacked LED headlamps, blacked-out grille, new faux skid plates, 15-inch steel wheels, follow-me-home function for the headlights, black door handles and ORVMs, revised front and rear bumpers, integrated spoiler with a high-mounted stop lamp, and new tail lights.

Inside, the updated B-SUV comes equipped with a four-inch MID, drive modes (Eco and City), keyless entry, idle start-stop system, TPMS, ESP, hill hold assist, six airbags, adjustable front headrests, front power windows, new steering wheel, and a puncture repair kit.

Under the hood, the entry-level Smart variant of the new Punch facelift is offered only with the 1.2-litre NA petrol engine mated with a five-speed manual transmission. This engine generates an output of 87bhp and 115Nm. The model also gets a new 1.2-litre turbo-petrol motor in the higher trims, details of which you can find on our website.
