- 17,489 cars sold in May 2018, 10,855 cars sold in May 2017
- 17,235 cars sold in April 2018
Tata Motors has registered another month of sustained growth in 2018, selling 17,485 cars in the month of May. Compared to the sales numbers in May 2017, the growth amounts to a whopping 61 per cent over the last year.
The month of May was anticipated to be a slow one, yet Tata has managed to edge past its April sales of 17,235 units, registering sales over 17,000 units for the fifth month in a row. With FY 2017-18 being one of the best years for Tata since the turn of the decade, FY 2018-19 has started on a strong note for the Indian car maker.
The Nexon has been a leader in the sub-four metre compact SUV segment and the launch of the AMT variants should boost its sales. The Tiago has also performed consistently over the past year, setting up the platform for newer Tata products to enter the market.
