Tata Motors has announced its strongest-ever monthly performance, recording a historic total of 60,907 cars sold in September 2025. This achievement reflects a solid 47 per cent year-on-year growth.
The Tata Nexon SUV spearheaded the record run, registering its highest-ever monthly sales for any single Tata model with over 22,500 units delivered. The mid-size SUV siblings, the Harrier and Safari, also maintained strong momentum, achieving their best-ever combined sales.

In the green mobility space, electric vehicle sales nearly doubled, posting a 96 per cent Y-o-Y jump to 9,191 units. Similarly, CNG vehicle sales hit an all-time high of over 17,800 units, reflecting a growth of over 105 per cent compared to Q2 FY25.
In a significant market shift, Tata Motors leaped to the second position in the domestic sales chart for September 2025, surpassing major competitors. While Mahindra (56,233 units) and Hyundai (51,547 units) both capitalised on the GST 2.0 reforms to record their highest-ever monthly sales, Tata was visibly ahead with sales of 60,907 units, intensifying the battle for the top ranks below market leader Maruti Suzuki.
