- New 1.5-litre TGDi petrol engine introduced
- Fearless Ultra added as new top variant
- Also offered in Red Dark Edition
Tata Motors has officially revealed the petrol-powered Harrier and Safari for the Indian market. Alongside the introduction of the new TGDi petrol engine, Tata has also expanded the Harrier lineup with the addition of a new Fearless Ultra variant. Positioned as the new top spec trim, this variant will also be available in the Red Dark Edition, adding a sportier visual appeal to the SUV.

With the new powertrain, the Harrier also receives a comprehensive feature upgrade. The highlight is a larger 14.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Dolby Atmos support. Other additions include a digital IRVM, memory ORVMs with an auto dip function, and further enhancements to the Level 2 ADAS suite. Tata has also upgraded all Type C USB charging ports to 65-watt output, while both the front and rear cameras now come equipped with washer functionality. Additionally, the previously fixed centre console armrest now gets a sliding mechanism.

Powering the petrol versions of the Harrier and Safari is Tata’s new 1.5-litre TGDi engine, tuned to produce 168bhp and 280Nm of peak torque. This engine will be offered with a six-speed manual gearbox as well as a six-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
Prices for the petrol-powered Harrier and Safari are expected to be announced in the coming days.
