- Will debut AWD for new-generation Tata cars
The Tata Harrier EV has been spied on test ahead of its India launch on 3 June. This is Tata’s new flagship EV, and will be the first of its new generation of vehicles to get AWD technology. The car was showcased at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025, and what you see in the pictures is the production ready version.

The images showcase a white car with silver wheels sporting an aerodynamic pattern. The exterior design is very similar to that of the ICE Harrier, with a similar silhouette and overall layout of elements. The interiors that were showcased at the Mobility Show reveal that it will pick up many of the elements from the regular Harrier. It is also expected to have the same feature list as the regular Harrier, but with the addition of AWD and a self-parking function. Other main highlights are expected to include a 360-degree camera, Level 2 ADAS, connected car technology, dual-zone climate control, leatherette seats with ventilation and power function, and finally, a panoramic sunroof.

The Harrier EV will open up a new EV battle front, as it will be at the premium end of vehicles like the Hyundai Creta EV, Maruti e Vitara, MG ZS EV, Kia Carens Clavis EV, and future models from Toyota, Honda, Skoda, and Volkswagen.
