- Prices likely to be announced soon
- New variants on offer
Tata Motors recently unveiled the petrol-powered versions of the Harrier and the Safari. While we are yet to get our hands on the variant-wise prices, the company has revealed a crucial update for the SUV siblings.

The Safari and the Harrier, in this petrol avatar, have scored a five-star rating in the Bharat NCAP crash test. Notably, the results that were applicable to the diesel versions of the models, have now been extended to the petrol derivatives, too. This means that both cars scored 30.08 of 32 points and 44.54 of 49 points in adult and child occupant protection, respectively.
The petrol-powered Tata Safari and the Tata Harrier will be offered in the same variant list as their diesel counterparts. Additionally, they will get exclusive variants as a part of the Ultra range, namely Fearless Ultra and Fearless Ultra Red Dark.

The Harrier and the Safari will soon be available with a 1.5-litre Hyperion TGDi turbo-petrol engine paired with six-speed manual and torque converter automatic transmissions. Power output is rated at 158bhp and 255Nm. We have driven the new Hyperion siblings, and you can read our review on the website.
