- Based on Toyota RAV4
- Victoris to be sold as Across in some markets
Suzuki has unveiled the new Across SUV for global markets, positioning it as the brand’s flagship electrified offering overseas.

The Across is based on the Toyota RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid and is underpinned by Toyota’s TNGA-K platform. It is powered by a 2.5-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine paired with dual electric motors. The combined system output stands at 302bhp, with power being sent to all four wheels via Suzuki’s e-Four all-wheel-drive system. The SUV offers an electric-only driving range of up to 75km on the WLTP cycle.

In terms of design, the Across sports a large grille, sharp LED headlamps, a sculpted bonnet, and a muscular stance. While the overall silhouette and proportions remain similar to the RAV4, Suzuki has incorporated subtle styling revisions and unique badging to differentiate it.

The cabin comes equipped with a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a fully digital instrument cluster, dual-zone climate control, powered front seats, and a host of connected car features. On the safety front, the SUV gets a comprehensive ADAS suite including adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, blind spot monitoring, and autonomous emergency braking.

Interestingly, while the Across sold in Europe is based on the Toyota RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid, certain international markets will receive the made-in-India Victoris rebadged as the Suzuki Across. These versions are exported from India and cater to select regions where Suzuki positions the Victoris-derived SUV under the Across nameplate.
There is no confirmation regarding the introduction of the Across in the Indian market.
